Feel good

I loved this episode as it just made me feel good. It had some sadness of course, but all in all it was a touching and emotional ride that felt good in the end. One of my favorite episodes.

Great episode but disappointed

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is everything that is happening in the world now and then regardless of when Gabriel came into the country. He trusted a lawyer who took him for everything he had. He took advantage of a man looking to get out of a country he could be killed in for nothing more than being intelligent. You don't support the leader or you could potentially have thoughts that don't line up with leader there can be devastating repercussions. At the end showing how easy it is to get political asylum in other countries shows how sad it is that a country based on immigration, collecting the weary, the tired, and the poor just doesn't care anymore. This episode was very well written.

The disappointment I had in this episode is Danny's storyline. Danny cared enough about Gabriel that she even said they should get married. It was a new relationship but it was a good one for her and for him. One that had so much potential. She loved Gabriel and losing him (the viewers losing him) is so upsetting. Of course I looked up to see if he's in any newer episode and as of current he is not. I am heartbroken over that. Danny deserved a boyfriend, deserved love. I am sad that the first person she seems to really care for is gone.

Dumped the episode

Sooooooo tired of Hollywood pushing the illegal immigration agenda. There is a legal process in place for immigration.

One thing that bugs me about shows/episodes like this....
kemority6 April 2020
When the useless judge kept mentioning "we must abide by our laws!"

I really wish Benny would have said the law has a terrible history of being wrong.

* Slavery was once the law * A woman voting was once against the law * Alcohol was once a felony * Collecting rainwater on your own property is against the law in some areas * Segregation was once the law * Selling lemonade on your driveway without a permit is against the law * Age discrimination is STILL the law

If you base your morality off legality... history is not on your side.

America is supposed to be the land of freedom -- not endlessly complying with the government's large - yet fragile - ego.

Ignore 1 star reviews
oldgal37 December 2018
You may like this Danny centered episode or you may not, but please pay no attention to the reviews that object to what they perceive as the politics of the episode. In the episode, there exist no value judgments regarding immigration; it is just used as a plot device. No elected officials are named or referenced. You might consider the conclusion a bit of a stretch, but ignore the haters.

Tired
kat129865 December 2018
Tired of screenwriters in Hollywood pushing an agenda about immigration by trying to make us feel bad about a heart doctor when the majority of "immigrants" are unskilled laborers not doctors.

This episode was an insult

Warning: Spoilers
So disappointed in this episode. It basically blames the current administration on the fate of an illegal immigrant who has been here 7 years (that would mean he would've been here during the previous administration and never did anything but it's all Trump's fault) because some lawyer took all his money all those years ago. We are supposed to feel sorry for him because his unnamed country is killing all its educated citizens. For all the touting of his intelligence I am dumbfounded why he didn't already apply for asylum.

But the kicker?? Germany takes him and immediately grants him political asylum. Did the writers even bother researching ALL the problems Germany is having because of their inmigration laws? These writers try to shove this garbage down our throats.

Removing this junk from my DVR.
