DCI Stuart is injured in a car accident and a CT scan of the brain is made. The result of the scan is shown on the monitor. Apart from the so-called Sylvian fissure being a bit wide for a 48-year old woman, the scan is completely normal. No blood, not the slightest sign of a brain injury or subdural hematoma (as is later stated) can be seen.
