Movie is a part of California State University, Northridge's CTVA film program. The core group consisted of Noah Toaso, Chris Cricca, and Cesar Sanchez.
Noah Toaso conceived the core part of the story. He then brought along his friend, Noah Pfister, to write the screenplay. Eventually, Pfister had his own story elements that he wished to implement, and did so. Pfister was then brought on board as director because Toaso wanted to see what Pfister could do as a director.
The pet store used in Dogfood (2018) is partially owned by Noah Toaso's family.
First movie with sound and dialogue that Noah Pfister has written and directed since Remembered (2015).
Chris Cricca and Noah Pfister have both made films for Moorpark Community College's film program. Cricca worked as a director and a grip for HTMLove (2015). Pfister played George in Dazed Thru Time (2017)
