Very meta and very Perry Mason

There's a whole lot about Marisa in this episode and I was totally here for it! I love how much we find out about who she is and how complex a person she is. The character-driven aspects of this show is one of my favorite things.

This is also the Perry-est of the episodes I've watched so far. I love how the truth is brought to bear by the defense team just as happened with Perry Mason. It's not unusual for this series, but this episode does it better than the others I've seen.

In any event, I'm continuing to really enjoy this series as I binge my way through. It's not perfect and I can hear Phil McGraw's POV in some of the dialog a little more than I would prefer, but I do really like it.

It was a good episode except...

Warning: Spoilers
It's hard for me to believe there are no security cameras (and probably a doorman) in the apartment building Greg and Marissa are living in. Which makes the whole "maybe he didn't wake me up for a kiss cause he was busy setting his restaurant on fire (and killing a man)" hard to buy. Also, just for the record, if you suspect your loving husband is a liar, an arsonist and a killer - YES! That would make you a terrible wife! Same storyline with Marissa standing by her husband would have been better imho (especially since she was in such a rush to get married she couldn't wait for Dr. Bull to come back).
