Started out to be promising but went downhill after 10 mins. Spare yourself there are bettter documentaries out there about the Queen. This one doesn't know what it wants to be - is it about Meghan Markle or the Queen? Is it a look back at the Queen's beginnings or what she is doing currently? I was entirely confused. Also this documentary suffered from terrible editing, poor transition and overall lack of cohesion throughout. This could have been good but it simply just isn't. Go find yourself one of the million other pieces about the royal family and the Queen. It'll be much better than this waste of time.

Not enough Queen, way too much Meghan Markle
able-lili9 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Granted Meghan Markle is a nice edition to the Royal Family, BUT she is NOT the topic of this episode, the Queen was and she barely spoke, barely contributed to the story.
Yes, the scenes filmed were part of her normal day to day activities, but no real interview was done. Who spoke was Meghan, Harry and Anne. The worse part was the never ending repetition of Meghan's part... I mean, it was not enough to hear her once talk about the veil, but it was clipped and repeated a total of THREE extra times. Terrible editing.

How the English still find it in their best interest to keep these people around is beyond me- but I'll admit to being somewhat intrigued by their lives/lifestyle. Not enough to let them cost me so much in taxes, but nevertheless.....
There's far too much fawning over of Megan and her nonsense- she's completely unraveled any semblance of royalty, and maybe that was her goal all along. Just to be clear, as an American, we're not willing to claim her or her family, so that she was willing to clog up the UK was fine with us.
From one scene to the next, it's a bunch of people heaping tons of praise and adoration on this family, and lots of Charles and his mistress (he completely ruined Diana and Harry, at least William seems to have resisted the urge to wade into the deep end) and a complete ignorance of Andrew and his nonsense.
This family as a whole is one hot mess to the next, and the newest addition of Megan seems to only exacerbate the issue.
The only hope the monarchy has of survival is if Charles foregoes his reign and passes it straight to William and his beautiful family, who seem to already understand the importance of outward appearances.
