I don't want to put any spoilers in my review. If you have been a little bored with the first two episodes, as I have been, let me predict that you will not be bored with episode three. This episode brought the drama! I am glad to see some of the characters' darker sides emerging because it makes the show interesting.
As usual, the costumes, lighting, decor, and cinematography were flawless. I love how sumptuous the rooms all are. It's a treat for my eyes.
Oscar is on screen a fair amount of the time and he's fabulous!
I want to like Marian but I just don't think she's natural. She seems very stiff and her dialogue feels forced.
The young kitchen help guy has a cringy over the top New Yaawwk accent. He takes the young Irish maid on a date to the magic lantern show and repeatedly tries to touch her even though she keeps telling him no. That was very unpleasant to watch and I wish that whole subplot was edited out.
