Always nice to see an assortment of unknowns actually give thought into a short film.
What was nice about this film is that it didn't seem over complicated. It was simple and in many instances, visually appealing. Sometimes the fog was too heavy in the kitchen and the white bounce on the elevators were a tad too much, but overall pretty good.
The acting was moderate to good with exception. Sometimes I felt the lines being said over took the importance of the actions required. As someone whos spent 12 years in restaurants, I've know cooks to put %80 of their interest in cooking. Communicating when they can. It felt the other way around in this. Not a huge deal, nothing said was dead on arrival, but something I felt was off.
I've only watched the film once, but am still trying to figure out exactly what it was about. Something about food and or drinks being spiked for some reason? A chef coming to terms with the past and his weight?
It was worth a watch. Great job cast and crew. A for effort.
