It appears that when they were going over the data provided to obtain the US visa for the first victim the life data given would have lead to the Department of State classifying the young lady as a US Citizen born abroad based on her mother's status as a US Citizen. Unless she could not prove her mother was actually her mother or she gave up her US Citizenship, which is something very difficult to do, the Department of State should have issued her a US passport not a tourist visa.
When the bodies in the woods have been dug up and removed from the holes, the holes look too perfectly dug, with squared corners, as if done with construction equipment. This would have damaged the bodies and any evidence that might be in the holes. Also, there is no loose soil from the holes. This is a common occurrence in movies and TV shows.
