Jackie is woken from sleep on the sofa. Jenny has changed her mind and wants him out again, Jackie protests and says it will be good for Benny to see them together as she is coming home that day. Jackie tells Jenny the daughter doesn't want to see her mother at the pickup, Jenny is upset.
Rachel Benham sees a pensive Rohr looking out of an office window, she teases him about showing up before noon. She is working on files on the Ebbtide Bar. Rachel wonders why Freda dislikes him, he says the reporter is a victim of her own bad karma and is in a coma, chuckling. A short time later Rachel mentions the incident to Ward and Signa, busy, they shrug it off as just Jackie. A polished suit arrives, Seth Golden, Steve 'Sky' Hook's lawyer.
Jimmy and Frankie Ryan go to their local liquor store, Jimmy excited about them robbing again. A thief comes in to rob the store, the Ryans help the Owner by taking the robber down and lay their boots to him.
At the hospital Cathy Ryan sees a friend in the tuck shop. Babsie Kinicki is the cashier and is wary of the Grand Jury, Cathy expresses her sorrow for Babsie losing her husband Kelly.
The lawyers negotiate but can't agree, Golden leaves with an F-bomb. Signa wonders how Hook could afford a "Harvard Jew". Signa then tries to get Ward to look for a positive spin.
Sue visits Jenny to give her some confidence. Sue admits her own daughter, far from perfect, was in rehab for cocaine, she urges Jenny to mainly listen and not lecture.
Siobhan has a coffee with a young lady, she reports Rev. Fields has been removed from the church and the Coalition. Adrienne is furious though, wanting Fields to be punished even more.
Jackie picks up his daughter, black eye and despondent. He probes a bit about drugs and counseling. Benny is worried she won't get better, is afraid to talk to her mom. Jackie gives her a hug and tries to cheer her up, the girl bravely walks rather than take a wheelchair.
Ward meets Golden again, Hook will only give names of two gun dealers and stresses Ward would make a mistake taking Hook to a Grand Jury. Ward accepts the deal and leaves with names; Tompkins and Sammarco. He goes to strike team leader Chris Caysen to plan a raid. Caysen is puzzled, hasn't heard of them.
Frankie and Jimmy go to the Ebbtide, Hook is back behind the bar. Hook refuses to sell them guns this time and is not so friendly.
Jackie is upset over Ward's deal, giving up on the three missing guards, for small time gun runners. The two bicker over the strategy. Jackie fumes and says he will solve the guards' case himself.
Jenny comes to Benny's room with a small gift, and offers to listen. Jenny tries to engage and Benny reveals the guy's name "Clay".
Dottie and Richy watch TV in the hospital, Cathy brings Kick for a visit but the girl is hesitant and quiet, they take her downstairs for a snack. In the cafe they meet Babsie Kinicki and her son Miles. The kids greet each other, Kick wants to go. Cathy explains Kick is hung up on Kelly Kinicki and maybe she should learn the truth, Richy advises against it.
Rachel goes to the newspaper to see Michaela Freda's editor. The woman refuses to give Freda's notes without a warrant. Rachel suspects the editor doesn't even have the notes.
At the school playground Miles and Kick run into each other again. Kick is sorry about his dad, Miles turns cold and calls her a bitch. She responds by taking out a box cutter and cutting his basketball. Cathy and Kick are the brought before a female cop who tries to find out what happened and why. Det. Bernie Hannahan from Charlestown arrives and dismisses the other cop, he talks to Cathy alone. He's angry and tells Cathy to get her house in order, control Kick.
Jenny is in class as the group discusses Freudian sexuality. She listens intently then leaves the class abruptly without participating, rushing to the washroom to splash her face with cold water, gasping.
Jimmy and Frankie go to another gun dealer and order handguns and rifles for Friday. They shake on it.
Jackie phones someone looking for Jimmy Ryan, the voice suggests the hospital. Rohr snorts a line while on the phone.
Rachel brings flowers to the hospital, Freda is in a coma tended by her sister. Rachel makes up a story, and offers to sit and watch while the other grabs a bite in the cafeteria. When alone, Rachel finds Freda's notebook in the patient's personal effects bag. Back at the office she pours through the book, reading about Agent Clasby and Clay Roach. Rachel suspects Jackie may be a felon.
Corie Struthers arrives from Florida with the young girls to see Dottie. Dottie hints Jimmy is coming, stressing Jimmy is loving and loyal, Corie dislikes his drug use. Jimmy arrives and greets his daughters with a big smile. Corie has a private word with Jimmy until an orderly comes to lead him away. Jimmy finds Jackie Rohr waiting for him in an empty room. Rohr demands more information on the three guards. Jimmy threatens to go to the press and tell his story, Jackie leaves with a firm demand.
Siobhan talks to Decourcy in their apartment. Both are stressed but have a tea and hold hands.
The strike team raids a house, they arrest college kids with a fridge full of cash. Ward goes to see Nathan Rey. The boss laughs at the raid as the kids were just running a website. Both young men Tompkins and Sammarco, have establishment parents, one a Councillor, and Rey says give them two years suspended sentence with no publicity. Ward is frustrated.
Back at home Ward pours a whiskey and wants to watch TV. He kisses Siobhan, she asks about Chris Caysen who wants to work with the Coalition. Decourcy vouches for Caysen, she is worried he would be wrong as a white cop. Ward then wonders if he did right with the guns, she agrees he did well to stop some gun traffic. Decourcy has doubts.
Jackie tells Vito Lupo, the Bookie, to scare Jimmy, as they watch the Ryan house. Vito doesn't like the idea. Inside Cathy reads a book for the small kids, Jimmy and Corie enjoy an episode of Who's the Boss on TV. Kick is coming home late and notices a man sitting in Jimmy's car near her home. She tells Frankie in the kitchen. Frankie goes out and gets in the car, he recognizes Lupo but is puzzled. Lupo pulls a gun, the men struggle, a shot goes off inside the car. Cathy pauses hearing the gunshot. Jimmy is oblivious. Kick also heard something.
Frankie takes the gun and leaves the dead man in the car. Kick sees his bloody shirt, they hug. Frankie then gets Jimmy and wonders why Lupo was there. Jimmy says he will take care of it and drives away in the car. He goes to a dark forest area, Jackie pulls up behind him. The Lupo killing will be kept quiet if Jimmy reveals the three dead bank guards.
At an underpass the oil barrels are recovered from the river. Once open, Jackie points out to Ward they are looking for someone who killed and dismembered three men, so no more games.
