I rated this 10 stars because of concept and the ease of Virginia and Dave's interactions with the subjects of each episode. I love how Dave's story is interwoven with juxtaposition to the subject's own story.
I knew who all interviewees were except for Morello. The interview with Morello was interesting, but I don't align with everything he and his mother, Mary, advocate. While many people, like Bono, admire Mary's spitfire nature, I wouldn't idolize either Morellos.
Miranda's interview was enlightening. I only knew her from media coverage because of her divorce. I can't say that I enjoyed that one, but still worth watching if only to see the differences between all the featured mothers.
I really enjoyed the interviews with Geddy Lee (his mom's history is fascinating), Pharrell (the contrast between his professional and personal life), and Dan Reynolds.(growing up mormon, having a brother in the business who didn't help him and what he has done and continues to do for the community).
Lastly, I love Brandi Carlile but felt her story was intentionally kept high level, knowing what's in her book, Broken Horses. I think there were deeper things that could have been explored in this episode.
