Actually I saw the rating of movie first and then I watched it, hoping it's great, but in reality it's kind of different, the first half was not great it was closed without any proper ending, the chemistry between both the nag and first heroine was completely different from what he gives after love failure, mainly there was no intense feeling and the ending of the movie was even not great I feel it couldn't drag me or any in the theatre to connect to it the way they presented.I probably don't Suggest a second visit

An emotional love drama which remains with you for long, this movie is so geniune with emotions that you feel invensted in characters, keep u hooked throughout its runtime! Naga chaitanya at his best performance till date. Samantha prabhu at d peak, she has looked so beautiful, Divyansha Kaushik is charming! Other lead charas done their best #ShivaNirvana hits d right notes in right area! BGM is a plus!

I felt bored and predictable from Dehradun episode to climax.... Samantha expressions are irritating I think the love story shown in this film is painful and happens in real life too but the married life of the hero is dramatic and missing logic in few scenes but the climax is impressive and melting

Love this movie! The story was simple, but was portrayed beautifully. The performances were brilliant and it reminded me of old movies, filled with simplicity throughout. Though it was a long one, never felt bored, definitely a heart winner!

Majili is probably one of the good performances of Nag Chaitanya,not the best. Samantha did a phenomenal job and protrayed sravani role in a good way. The first half entirely focused on Love story between Chat and Divyansha(She looks beautiful) ,but there is nothing new in that story. We already seen that and been there ,but I didn't felt bored ,thanks to the new face (Divyansha) and songs composed by Gopi Sundar were one of the assets for this movie. Second half , here Chay-Sam factor worked big time and Background score by Thaman was beautiful. Director Shiva nirvana did a good job and his dialogues were good. Suhas as chay friend was good .
Though there are some few flaws in story , majili is a decent watch.

Majili follows the life of Poorna, a boy who loves cricket. He unfortunately gets involved with the wrong people while trying to secure his spot on a cricket team, they bribe officials to have their team win and sell Poorna's batting skills to the highest bidder. However at the same time Poorna meets a girl Anshu who he falls head over heels in love with, she also loves him back and for a while things are good.
The leader or head of the gang that Poorna has fallen in with at least when it comes to betting and bribing is Bhushan. When he sees Purna's girlfriend Anshu he tries to force himself on her, Purna fights Bhushan and his men off and he and Anshu escape.
Unfortunately things go downhill from here with Bhushan getting to Anshu's parents first and spinning a story about Poorna seducing Anshu and trying to kidnap her etc. Anshu's father hires some of Bhushans thugs to rough Poorna up but Bhushan tells them to kill him instead. Anshu saves him fron death there but her father moves away after that taking her with and forcing her to get married to someone she doesn't love. Poorna forgets about cricket and spends the next 10 or so years drinking and feeling sorry for himself. However his neighbor Sravani whose loved him forever has her father put forward a marriage proposal which Poorna accepts for his fathers happiness.
I'm not going to narrate the rest of the movie for you, but I will say that he doesn't love his wife Sravani for a long, long time until he is lifted out of his drunken stupor by the chance to coach Anshu's daughter. Anshu has passed away and her father has now apologized to Poorna. Things start looking up slowly from here and Poorna realizes that while Anshu will always have a place in his heart, Sravani has loved him forever, drinking, joblessness and all. His never said a kind or loving word to her since they got married but she has still loved him unconditionally and been there for him no matter what.
As you can see by the absolute essay I just wrote, the story for Majili is really great, interesting and will have you sitting at the edge of your seat throughout the film.
The acting is absolutely top notch, Divyansha Kaushik does a good job as Anshu and Naga Chaitanya gives me Yash vibes from K. G. F at some points, while also handling the more emotional scenes superbly. Ananya Agarwal who plays Anshu's daughter does a great job alongside her adult co-stars. Samantha Ruth Prabhu looks beautiful as always and continues to stun the audience with her dazzling looks and superb acting skills. A very well rounded cast with superb acting from all. The music and visuals are lovely and tops off the movie well.
All in all Majili is a brilliant Telugu language film; It has it all, from a strong, interesting storyline to a amazingly talented and stunning cast along with lovely music and visuals. A very well deserved 9/10 from me!
P. S. The only criticism I have is the first half felt a bit to long, I would have preferred if Sravani had more screen time and Anshu a bit less. As it is the second half feels just ever so slightly rushed; would have been better to introduce Sravani a little earlier and start on her story with Poorna a bit earlier as well, so we get a bit more about the two of them, especially at the end where the film ends with them at the train station. I really want to know what happened next xD.
P. P. S. Poorna was so blind for so long, to miss just how much his wife loved him. Get me a girl like Sravani and I'll happily marry her, no arguments or anything. It's a rare thing in today's world to find someone who will love and care for you no matter what. No hate towards Anshu, but I feel that Sravani is the right girl for Poorna, and any other guy out there lucky enough to have a girl like her love him.

First half of the movie was good & Divyansha Kaushik was looking very gorgeous in every screen she was present. Second half of the movie was very slow, easily predictable and at times very boring. There were some logical mistakes too in the movie. Inspite of all this cinematography was very good and it captured the picturesque locales of Vizag.

Majili is the most idiotic movie in the recent times.
Chaitanya plays a guy who failed in his teenage love and cannot get past that phase of his life, resorts to alcoholism and basically behaves like a wimp.
Samantha plays a woman who is obsessed with her teenage love so much that she is blinded by that and cannot see life practically. She has to support her husband no matter what; instead of instilling some sense into him (if she has some). Weren't you in the marriage all those years hoping for him to get better. Isn't that why you got into the marriage hoping to see him better? If you were so selfless what happened at the end? Got selfish, much?? Wait, you married him for your own selfish reasons. Couldn't care a damn thing for parents crying silently in front of you but wishes all well for a drunk dude who can't get his life sorted. Stupid. Dumb. Foolish. Worthless. Huh!!

A very soulful movie with the tagline apt for its plot. Vizag's beauty is beautifully captured and with the accompaniment of the melodic BGM, Majili is a treat for the eyes.
Naga Chaitanya is not a bad actor, in fact through movies like Ye Maya Chesave and 100% love, we can agree that he is decent. The only issue is that he is very monotonous, he's neither improving nor deteriorating. He is consistent with his acting but if he wants to match up to the level of his father and grandfather, he has a long way to go. Thankfully, Majili came to his rescue and became a treat for his fans with some improvements in his acting capabilities. It was a much needed blockbuster for him. His talent truly came out in some scenes where you can justify the nepotism but he is no match for Samanatha. This beauty is one of the best actresses in this generation and she truly convinced us with Shravani. Posani and Rao Ramesh were endearing as always, Subbaraju was unnecessary in the film and Diyanksha made a decent debut.
As for the downsides of this film, it has quite a predictable plot, a few unnecessary characters and very superficial knowledge of the game of cricket. Especially the scene where Poorna insults Meera for her grip and shows her the "correct" way to grip a cricket bat when it is actually the worst way to grip. He is supposed to be a great player of the game but no knowledge of such basic things put you off. But it's not a film based on cricket (GO WATCH JERSEY FOR THE REAL DEAL) so I guess it ticks a few boxes in the family drama genre. The songs were another let down, Gopi Sundar usually produces classics but except for Priyathama, the rest were not up to par and doesn't leave a mark.
Finally, Majili is definitely as one time watch for Chai's improvement and Sam's beautiful acting but if you want to go for a realistic film, miss this one.

An alcoholic and a failed cricketer, Poorna is a nuisance in his neighbourhood, burden for his father and a wound that needs to be nursed for his wife. His wound runs deep as its not physical, but an emotional trauma caused by a love story which changes him forever.
Love, heartbreak and cricket is the premise around which Shiva Nirvana builds his latest love story Majili. He builds his characters slowly around this, but for the large part of the film, there's a lot of heartbreak and less love, while cricket is simply shown as an aside - most of it is exaggerated and flawed. Strangely enough, for a love story like Majili, there are a lot of action sequences. It seems people in Vizag, where the film is based, are willing to beat each other up at the drop of a hat. And there's seldom any closure to all the violence. It all seemed part of a mythical 'magic formula' that the director was trying to find. And yet, despite all of this, Majili keeps you interested and entertained for most part of it.

The movie was ok..one time watchable...Samantha saved the ship from thinking...after her character is introduced..the film makes us to watch till end...the hero acting was the worst part of the movie...his acting is not upto the mark..the story is good the characters were good everything was good...except Naga portraying his character...it ruined the movie...so 6😑😑

First of all the movie could have been better. I have always felt this watching south movies that the plots were great but there were always something lacking which made them unrealistic. Given that it is fictional somethings can be ignored but it still stays in your head and you keep wondering if only that particular scene/blunder could have been avoided.
Aside from all that, the character depiction and emotions that the characters felt made this movie a great watch. I enjoyed the movie overall.

I'm not a big fan of Indian movies, so i watched this by chance cause this movie is abour a cricketer and i like cricket. But i was really surprised by the storyline, acting, direction all the things were amazing, especially the lead pair did a wonderful job.
This movie takes you to a emotional journey by different point of views and emotion triggering moments shower in the light of great acting.
And that background score is awesome.
So i really enjoyed that one, i think everyone movie fan should watch it, cause it's a must watch movie.

The trailer had the best elements packed which triggered me to watch the movie but I wasn't that much disappointed as it had a nice love/drama in a family and especially between a bread earning women & her not earning male partner, which is very rarely seen nowadays.
Music/Songs weren't any good and the movie had a chance to play with emotion as they took Sports/Cricket theme, but it wasn't used at all, totally wasted.
Subtle and Sweet love story with a unique flavor.
