"To the End" is the perfect heartbreaking song for Blur and their first original video was an amazing tribute to French New Wave with its homage to Alain
Resnais classic "Last Year at Marienbad", and there's nothing more to add about that except that the video is a marveolus recreation of events from the
movie, even with the same setting of the mysterious and elegant cheatau that appears in the movie.
But on the same year of that video's release, came this duet version with Blur and French legend Françoise Hardy performing the song, singing both in French and English. Well, the song always works, the video is quite nice despite just being a performance of the group and the singer inside of a studio where there's also a concert with them. It's cute and alright but it's nothing so much special. Just good to look at it, no other wider reflection to be made out of here. But it works. 8/10.
