A new trailer for Gotham Knights begins with Harvey Dent (Misha Collins) revealing some shocking news to Batman's son Turner (Oscar Morgan).
"It's your father," Harvey says. "He's dead."
What a hook, right?
"My father believed that each of us could become a light and bring a new dawn to Gotham," Turner says at his father's memorial service.
"Batman is dead, and a powder keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it," reads the network's official description for the series.
"In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes is framed for killing the Caped Crusader, along with the children of some of Batman’s enemies: Duela, an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father."

The “Gotham Knights” pilot at The CW has cast both Fallon Smythe and Tyler Dichiara as series regulars, Variety has learned exclusively.
Smythe and Dichiara are the first announced castings for the pilot, which is based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger. The one-hour drama takes place in in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder. His rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. Jessica (Bellamy Young) will be reuniting with an old friend in the final episodes of the first season of Fox’s Prodigal Son.
Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding) will recur in the final five episodes of season 1 as Nicholas Endicott, a charming and sophisticated New York City billionaire and patron of the arts, who is also an old friend of Jessica’s (Young) from before Martin’s arrest. When they both witness a murder, Jessica & Nicholas are once again thrust back into each other’s lives, much to Martin Whitly’s (Michael Sheen) disdain. Mulroney’s character will be introduced in the episode on Monday, March 30.
Tom Payne, Michael Sheen and Bellamy Young star in the series from Chris Fedak, Sam Sklaver, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros TV.

James Faulkner has signed on to star in Andrew Hyatt’s comedy-drama All Those Small Things, the debut feature from Rebel Kat Productions and Hyatt’s Chi Rho Films. Hyatt is directing the film from his own script, about British game show host Jonathan Robbins who finds himself questioning his mortality and legacy after the recent death of a close friend. When he comes across an unexpected letter from a young fan, he heads into the backwoods of America in search of deeper meaning for his life.
Faulkner and Hyatt previously collaborated on Paul, Apostle of Christ, which was released last year via Sony. Hyatt and Caleb Applegate are producing the pic with Rich Cowan and Marc Dahlstrom of North by Northwest Productions, and Cory Pyke.
