Filmmakers have 168 hours to make a film (though they get 10 days beforehand to write, cast, crew, procure equipment, secure locations, etc.) based on a randomly picked Bible verse based on a theme (this year's theme: Power). The director, Jerusha Pettit, go the verse Galatians 5:22-24. Writing the script took longer than anticipated so filming didn't start until the next day at 6:00 PM effectively reducing the running clock to 137 hours to shoot the film, lock picture, do post-sound, color-correct, have music composed, and mix the soundtrack before turning in the film.
Filmmakers shot at the director's brother-in-law's actual MRI company near Anaheim, CA. The MRI machine featured is on "life-support" which meant the filmmakers had to shoot in a very noisy environment. Inspired by the scene in "Days of Heaven" when Richard Gere gets fired from the foundry, the director told the actors to use the environment to yell their lines and add tension to the scene.

The Bollywood themed party was inspired by an actual real-life event in the filmmaker's lives when they threw a going away party for a friend who was leaving to India as a missionary. People who attended the party actually competed in a Bollywood dance off.
