  • Gypsy becomes more and more stressed at Nick's house, due to his trashy parents criticizing her mother, Nick's lack of know-how (at one point he shows her the designated space in his bedroom for her, a fold-up closet where she is to live). She abuses anxiety meds to cope, and often freaks out. It is quite sad and unnerving to watch.
  • We see Gypsy fail to fit in with peers her age due to her appearance of being physically and mentally disabled. Isolated and lonely, she spends time browsing photos of people being friends and having romantic relationships, and she tries to dress "sexy" for a comic convention, only for her mother to make her change and dress like a child. Gypsy is saddened and frustrated by it. This may upset some viewers.
  • This could be a very sensitive part for viewers. Many abusive things are shown, mental and physical. Strong trigger warnings throughout. (Gypsy is tied down to a bed by her mother). (Gypsy is forced to take drugs). Many things that are shown can be frightening and intense.
  • DeeDee raises her voice loudly in some scenes which may be triggering to those sensitive to yelling or loud noises.
  • This series may be triggering to survivors of child abuse or munchausen by proxy syndrome.
