- With Janet's help, Michael hatches a plan.
- Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani and Jason are now in Janet's world, an endless void, made necessary when Shawn's minion demons came a calling out of his makeshift portal. It's up to her to protect them while Michael tries to get information on just how the points system works for Good Place/Bad Place separation from the former's accountant who assigns said points.—Paul Hanlin
- On Michael's directive to evade Shawn and his thugs, Janet is able to hide the four humans in her void - something that's never been done - with some unintended negative consequences for both the humans and Janet in the process. While the four are in hiding, Michael and Janet, who believe there is some manipulation of the points system in determining who goes to the Good Place and who goes to the Bad Place, visit the afterlife's accounting center to investigate. In meeting Neil, the officious head accountant who states that there can be no manipulation of the points system, Michael and Janet discover some interesting associated information. While Michael and Janet are away, the four humans are left alone to their own devices which allows Eleanor and Chidi to talk about what seems to be their divide of Eleanor believing she being in love with him the result of their shared but forgotten history together in reiteration after reiteration of the neighborhood, while Chidi believes he cannot be in love with her as that shared but forgotten history was experienced by another form of himself. The negative repercussions of being hidden in Janet's void may bring Eleanor and Chidi's thoughts closer together.—Huggo
