To prepare for her role as Hanna, actress Esme Creed-Miles put in months of physical training, yoga, and worked with a fight choreographer.
"Hanna" is based on the 2011 movie of the same name, which starred Saoirse Ronan and Cate Blanchett, was directed by Joe Wright and co-written by series creator David Farr.
Esme Creed-Miles, who plays Hanna, is the daughter of Oscar-nominated actress Samantha Morton ("Sweet and Lowdown," "In America") and actor Charlie Creed-Miles.
The series begins in Romania in 2003, because writer-creator David Farr felt the original film left unanswered questions about the backstory of Hanna's true identity.
In the original "Hanna" narrative from 2011, the title character was bright - almost platinum - blonde, a stark contrast to the raven-haired Hanna in the Prime Video TV series.
