The film begins with Irish pop-star, Ronan Keating, trying to record the classic Christmas track 'Winter Wonderland' despite constant interruptions from precocious Kiwi teenager, Julian Dennison. Dennison argues 'Winter Wonderland' makes no sense for people in the Southern Hemisphere who experience Christmas in summer. Dennison suggests strange changes to the lyrics to make them more relevant to the southern half of the world. However, these 'helpful' suggestions annoy Ronan so much, he walks out of the recording session in anger. Later on the studio's sunny rooftop, the two eventually resolve their differences and improvise a new summer version of the song.
