- TriviaThomas says he consulted with a scientist named Louise Lincoln, who in the comics held the Killer Frost mantle before Caitlin Snow, Louise was a friend of Crystal Frost, who essentially gave herself the woman's powers after her death. The Louise version of Killer Frost proved to be a pretty major foe throughout the years, even appearing in recent comics such as Doomsday Clock.
- GoofsFlash tells XS the reason they can't see their breath is that it's too cold, "there's no moisture in the air." This is why it doesn't snow at very cold temperatures. Breath is visible in cold temperatures because warm moist air being expelled from lungs hits the cold air and condenses; it's the moisture from inside the body that becomes visible, not from outside.
- Quotes
Cecile Horton: [Ralph twitches his nose] What's happening with your nose right now?
Ralph Dibny: Oh, when I smell a mystery, that's my thing. I do that.
Cecile Horton: That's nasty.
Ralph Dibny: It is? You don't...
Cecile Horton: Please stop.

BEST EPISODE SO FAR THIS SEASON!!
Season 5 of the Flash has been rocky at best, there's been many good pieces but lots of poor execution and yet this episode may be a sign the show is finally shaking the shackles of its previous shortcomings. While a little rushed at the beginning the three plot lines in this episode smoothed together seemlessly by the end and guest star Kyle Secor was a welcome addition. He played spectacularly off the regular members of the cast, especially Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow) who he shared the most screen time with. Panabaker shined in this episode showcasing a vast emotional range with plenty of heart, as did co-stars Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon) and Grant Gustin (Barry Allen "The Flash"). Those three actors have been heralded for their chemistry together in the past and once they found their footing again in this episode there is little question as to why. Season 1, which was centered around these three characters, is considered the best in the series and in this episode it seems the show may be getting back to the roots that made it so great. That along with the spinkles of moments with the season's big bad made for a captivating hour in television!
Other honorable mentions in this episode were Hartley Sawyer (Ralph Dibny) and Danielle Nicolet (Cecile Horton) as an unexpected comedy duo with great physical humor (partially due to their height differences) as well as Jessica Parker Kennedy (Nora West-Allen) and Candice Patton (Iris West-Allen) who continue to play off each other well as their character's begin to form more of a bond. And while I am still unsure what to think of Tom Cavanaugh's new Sherlquoe Wells his acting is still some of the strongest on the show.
Overall I loved this episode and it was the best the Flash has had in quite some time. Definitely worth the watch!
