Refreshingly nice
xiomatic17 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
A fun little movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. You've seen the plot a thousand times so I won't repeat it here. The acting and script are OK, but the main thing is the feel factor. It's a nice feel good movie and will leave you feeling good, which is its job.

I liked the casual treatment of Christianity here, wish more movies were like this where it's not the elephant in the room, just a background plot point. Actually thinking about it, it's a normal movie about normal people doing normal things. It's nice to watch a movie where you don't feel a little dirty afterwards. How refreshing.

Mixed moments
pattyrusciano10 February 2020
First, PETA is stunning and did a great job, the male lead was less so. The story was a bit far fetched and had a few low moments, and I would only give it a 5, but there were some very moving and insightful parts that were 10's, so while it averages to a 7, stick with it and enjoy.

What more do you need?
kosmasp29 August 2021
If you enter a dancing competition, it's always good if your partner is a dancer (in this case the woman of our team at hand here). The dance scenes that are supposed to look good do so, thanks to her, his training I reckon with her and the power and magic of editing.

Having said all that, I am glad this did not go down the road of some of the religion based movies I "accidentally" watched on prime some time ago. While this is still very much about religion too - it does not take itself too seriously. Well not all the time at least. Also it helps to have so many old school actors and faces you may recognize or not thrown into the mix. Even one from a Nightmare on Elm Street sequel ... well there is nothing that cannot be seen ... as you see.

Dopey Authenticity
swenkal-116 May 2020
This movie was silly in parts, overtly Christian in parts, full of cliches and hard to believe in other parts but I give it an 8 because it was so perfectly imperfect. Watch and hang in to the end and you'll know why I say that and agree.

Fun uplifting movie
michellekrause712 April 2019
Went to see this film to help support Robert Krantz. He is a friend of a friend of mine. I left this movie feeling hopeful and uplifted. Funny and touching. Makes you laugh and cry. Great message of Faith, Hope and Love.. hence the name! I recommend seeing this film.

Cute story. Good Acting. Crazy Camera Angles
Caitlan848 February 2020
The actors did the best they could with the script. They were charming and motivated me to finish the show. The curve of the story was off. I could tell they were trying to be genuine to real life but it made for a confusing movie. I guess life is confusing. But I felt we saw too much of the work in making this movie. So many weird camera close ups and background blurs and cuts. It's like I want this movie to get a do-over without the strange editing and filming choices. Still, I'm grateful anytime people aim for faith building, uplifting media.

Wirklich schlecht
musencus22 August 2021
Dünne Story mit religiöser Dreingabe, schlechte Schauspieler (Tänzer!), schlechte Regie ... achja, alles aus der gleichen Hand. Meine Güte, was für eine Überflüssigkeit.

Refreshingly good movie
llwkr19 February 2020
It took persistence to get my daughter and granddaughters to watch this with me. We're all Christians, but have seen some well-meaning, but heavy-handed Christian movies. I finally convinced them to watch the beginning dance montage, and then they were hooked. The movie is a perfect mixture of fun and message. We all agreed that the chemistry between the actors was perfect. Also enjoyable was seeing favorites like M. Emmet Walsh, Ed Asner, Corbin Bernsen, Gary Hershberger, Nancy Stafford, and Michael Richards. I've watched it three times, now, and will continue to enjoy watching this new favorite movie.

Unexpected Expected

As they said imperfect perfect in the film too.

This movie made me laugh more than I thought it would. A hallmark-esk movie that had more education and close to tear-jerking at times than most movies.

This was a great Christian movie. A funny ad heartfelt one.

Sickly Sweet
ekblsb22 March 2020
This film could have been promising, but the poor script and lackluster performances made this sickly sweet, cliche ridden film a chore to watch until the end. The unrealistic plotline, along with a lack of any depth to the characters turned this into a yawnfest.

Have Faith in this Movie
danielggarza12 February 2020
I was impressed with Peta's acting. She's good. I had trouble with the chemistry but the story is cute and worth watching. It doesn't hide the religious message but the dancing is good enough that it doesn't over shadow.

But the greatest of these is Love
simpson89806 May 2022
Maybe a little predictable, but a cute, fun, clean movie, nonetheless. Lots of dancing of course, and romance. I thought the acting was good, especially the daughters. Good to see Peta & Maks in a movie!

Predictable slop
blanche5221 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This was one of the most predictable movies I have ever seen. Granted I am old and have seen thousands of movies in my life, but this was one of the stinkiest. If you didn't figure it all out in the first five minutes, you're a little slow on the uptake. For example, as soon as the female lead says she's unable to have children YOU KNOW she's gonna have a baby. As soon as the youngest daughter prays to god that her daddy and the female lead will fall in love...BAM, that's exactly what happens.

I wouldn't call it religious propaganda, however. As an atheist I didn't mind the religious aspect at all. (Maybe it had something to do the fact that the family was Greek Orthodox. I have no idea.) There was no Bible thumping, no hellfire, no brimstone. No preaching, no evil and good. Just love. It was kinda sweet.fabulous screenplays

If you love movies, great acting, fabulous screenplays, unpredictable plots...don't see this movie.

Fun with Faith
amk-7539430 March 2020
A great message with an entertaining storyline. The message comes across very naturally not forced or boring. The amazing cast is true gold, I love when we see age doesn't matter.

Hot Mess
dadimem13 February 2021
This movie has no idea what it's supposed to be. A romance? A dance film? A conversion film? It's awkward at all three.

This is one of the slowest and poorly written things ever filmed, and we watch every Hallmark romance that airs.

I don't mind a little Jesus thrown into a film if it's well done. This is not that film. Even the dancing (the primary plot point of the movie) isn't exciting. Watched this with my mother-in-law, 83, who said at one point, "How long has this movie been one? It seems like days!"

Low expectations but Loved it!
jsheets-540682 May 2020
Two characters who have great chemistry and help each other out of low points in their lives. I loved the Christian symbolism also. Faith, Hope and Love but the greatest of these is Love.

So bad but great dancing
hstampleman28 January 2022
Wow, this was SO BAD I had to rate it. I had higher hopes as a DWTS fan. I wanted to like it but it was just too much Jesus, too poorly written, and poorly acted (though who can blame them with the material they got)

The Warning Signs Were All There ...
posti-215-2315502 March 2020
I confess that when I saw that the male star of the movie was also its producer and director, the question did run through my mind "What, he couldn't get ANYONE to make this movie?", but then I told myself not to judge without seeing first. Then the introductory voiceover got evangelical, and again I wondered. I lasted 25 minutes. Hard to identify any single thing that made this movie unwatchable for me; most of all I think the writing was just SO awful, with cliche after cliche and dialogue that was just completely unreal (not in a good way). Also the characters were cardboard cutouts with no depth or believability. As is so often the case, the movie's basic idea could have been entertaining with a halfway decent script and characterisation. But even as someone who doesn't mind a bit of "cheesy" or "predictable " this was many steps too far.

Very Sweet Movie

I really enjoyed this movie. I've watched Peta on Dancing with the Stars and I feel she did a great job, in her first acting role. This is a great family movie.

What you'd expect...literally.
hasansevik6 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
There isn't a scene, line or word that is unique and unexpected.

No one behaves like that at work (all super-happy and ever-supportive). And come on... A super hot single dance instructor gets rejected from dates all the time? I smell bull****. Similarly, an attractive, middle class white male cannot find love until she literally falls into his arms?

These Christian movies are honestly so horribly written that it's incredible anyone, even those with faith, could watch them and believe a word of it.

So many mistakes
mikeguevara-844739 November 2021
Even with the excuse, "not enough money to shoot It" , there are so many mistakes with the script, photography, music, production, directing and so.

It should be at school. What not to do with a movie.

It's a cute movie but not a great movie. It was sweet, warm, and without filth and foul language! JESUS IS ALIVE AND LOVES ALL OF YOU!!!
