Looks like Peta Murgatroyd is backtracking on “Dancing with the Stars.” In March, the two-time champ said she would love to return if the show would have her back. But now she’s changing her tune slightly.
“I’m actually not contracted with them right now,” Murgatroyd tells “Us Weekly,” adding that she and husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy would “maybe” come back in the future.
It’s unclear if Murgatroyd and the show already discussed a possible comeback and it didn’t work out or if she just had a change of heart, but the Aussie says she’s has been focusing on acting lately and does auditions “every couple of days.” Murgatroyd made her acting debut in March in “Faith, Hope & Love.” “Comic movies, superhero roles … that’s my thing,” she tells the magazine of her ideal roles. “That would just be a dream. … I don’t want to do just romantic comedies.

Candace Cameron Bure‘s daughter Natasha Bure is following in her mother’s footsteps into acting, but the 20-year-old hopes to mimic her mother in another way as well: She wants to go on “Dancing with the Stars.”
“I would love to do ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ I think it would be the coolest thing. I’m so competitive,” Natasha told “Entertainment Tonight” (watch below).
Candace was on Season 18, coming in third place with Mark Ballas, so Natasha will have her work cut out for her if she wants to best her mother’s finish.
If Natasha does go on “Dancing,” it wouldn’t be the first time a parent and child have competed on the show — all on different seasons. Master P replaced his son Romeo in Season 2 after the latter withdrew due to injury and infamously scored an 8 before finishing in seventh place. Romeo later competed in Season 12, placing fifth.

“Dancing with the Stars” is returning in the fall and if Peta Murgatroyd had her druthers, so will she.
The two-time champ hasn’t competed since Season 25 in fall 2017, but she tells “Entertainment Tonight” that she’s ready to hit the hardwood again. “I would love to be back,” she says (watch below). “I miss everybody and although it is hard work — it is the toughest job of all time — but I don’t know what it’s gonna take to get me back.
“I mean, I wanna come back,” she continues. “If it’s up to me, yes, probably. If they will have me back!”
It’s hard to see why “Dancing” wouldn’t want her back if she’s willing. Murgatroyd is a popular pro from the old guard and is married to an even more popular/lightning rod pro, Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The show is off the air this spring,...
