This is the episode (Omega) that got AMC into trouble with the FCC because it included the Emergency Alert System tone. The FCC issued a press release on August 15, 2019 announcing settlements with ABC (because the EAS tone was also used during Jimmy Kimmel Live on October 3, 2018) and AMC, along with other broadcasters, for airing actual or simulated emergency alert tones, which violates the commission's rules on proper use of the Emergency Alert System. Broadcasting EAS tones during nonemergencies and outside of proper testing is a "serious public safety concern," according to the FCC. The combined total the companies have agreed to pay will amount to over $600,000 in civil penalties, with each network promising that it won't happen again.
At the beginning of this episode the song that Alpha is singing to comfort young Lydia in the bunker is "Lydia the Tattooed Lady". This song is also heard on another tv series from AMC, Breaking Bad, as Todd's ringtone when Lydia Quail calls his cellphone.
AMC was fined $104,000 for airing an Emergency Service Alert tone during the flashback scene at the beginning of the episode.
