I gotta go! Take 20.

Love it! Funny funny funny! The singing and orchestration is wonderful on top of being funny. I've been telling everybody I know with a decent sense of humor to look for "Coop." Whoops, I meant "Co-Op." I wonder where John Mulaney got those plaid pants?

How do I get a coop vinyl record?
amymorris-3780719 June 2019
I have watched documentary now since Sandy Passage and was worried to hear that Hader and Armisen would not be as prominent in the films. Also most of the referenced documentaries I actually seen but not the ones in season 3 except for Wild Wild Country. No need to worry - the writing and acting have been spot on with Season 3 I have watched coop two days in a row now just because I love the songs

Just... fantastic

This is awesome. The music, the jokes, the actors. Everything comes together and I wish the musical was real.

Surpasses even "Forbidden Broadway" for Sondheim parody
gregmachlin24 July 2019
This isn't just a Sondheim parody, it's specifically a parody of D.A. Penebaker's documentary about COMPANY (down to the producers high-tailing it to take over MGM). Sondheim is hard to parody because you've got to do music as good as his, and yet somehow the "Documentary Now!" people pulled it off. Also Mulaney's passive-aggressive performance as Sondheim is perfect. The fact that Renee Elise Goldsberry from HAMILTON co-stars is just icing on the neurotic, 1970s cake.

The most promising example in single episodic storylines.
hamlinluke1030 January 2022
Watching this episode you have to feel the effort and the energy put into this episode. Everything is flawlessly brilliant. The whole of Documentary Now is a example of television shows being greatly under appreciated.

Historical Inaccuracy
zhwak-4949518 July 2019
It's pretty good. There's an historical inaccuracy-the female sings at one point "A framed picture of Navritalova-she would have been 14 in 1970...
