A Nicely Encapsulated View

I know the criticism that is driving the low rating. I'm sure people see the press as tooting its own horn. Granted, there isn't a lot new here. So many better documentaries have been done in the past. This does, however, bring back the types of things we may have forgotten. We see the harsh realities of the Civil Rights movement. Perhaps it's just too much history for an hour and a half. I'm hoping that those that rated it low are doing it on the merits of filmmaking and not responding in a way that makes the films point.

Viewing this with a pure historical / documentary perspectiveve was difficult. As I connected with the timeline of events I could not help but become emotionally involved. The content was informative and the images were heartbreaking. I used to be an Idealist ...but as I view more documentaries concerning the poor.disenfranchised, underrepresented, gender equality, race,classism.....I just ponder the ultimate questions.
