The film mainly focuses on the casteism partialities in tamilnadu.
The film talks about casteism. The main colour represented in the film is blue which is Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's favorite colour. He was a social reformer who fought against caste system.
Though the film was released in 2018, the story takes place between 2003 - 2008.
According to the director Anandhi's character Jothi Mahalakshmi, was inspired from the character of Shweta Tripathi in Masaan (2015).
Kayal Anandi dubbed her own voice in the film.
