Fresh, funny, smart, visual!

Zero One proves that Nick Neon is a fresh new voice in LGBTQ+ film who has a lot on his mind and the skills to get those thoughts on screen. Zero One is at once funny, sad, smart, silly, and always visually poppin'. Plus, the MUSIC! Give Neon a feature already!

Under a Purple Sky!!!!

Zero One was a beautiful and unique cinematic expansion of the LGBTQ voice. How beautiful was it to look at a film and see so many different people being represented. To have the lens turned towards cultures and groups that normally go unnoticed, was truly a breath of fresh air.... Ahhhh, It just breathes differently underneath a purple sky. Thank you for courageously using your authentic aesthetic to broaden the inclusion of all voices.

A Neon Dream We All Once Had

Pink and blue flow through these two films, Ultra Bleu and Zero One. I assume the pink as the theme color of Jimmy's inner world: his thoughts (look at these annotations and nicknames he gave people) and his fantasies (the NYE party). Blue is what he is facing from the outside: the pressure from himself and family and the uncertainty of the future.

In the end, Jimmy reignited his passion and dream. He sees his spaceships shuttle in and out of the city. His worlds, both inside and out, are filled with pink now.

Yes, we don't need to conquer the world at 26. Yes, at some points we are all 20 something and lost. Yes, we all want to get our lives together but sometime things worked out out of our expectations. But it's all okay.

Thank you, Jimmy, for adding a little bit of that pink in my life, XOXO.

His kiss was like no other and acting was great. He also plays Paul Simon cover in the Simon and Garfunkel show.

honest

The basic virtue of this short film is its profound, beautiful honesty. A precise portrait of friendship, need of self definion, fatherhood, relations, deep frustrations and way to acceptance of near reality and yourself. Each of them makes it special.
