This is very good

A doc made before he was sentenced so it was not clear if he would remain in the film industry or not. Since he will spend his life in prison we can now assume he will never get back. Hollywood/New York now hates him and even in 2018 the evidence was very strong. Though just like in the movie about the New York Times reporters these cases are nearly all just him being a giant sexual creep and being too touchy. There is no bigger case here. All these cases are in many cases not even prosecuted as it's just on the edge of being criminal acts. Curiously the biggest events do not feature in docs or movies about this case for some reason. Largely we see women accuse him of being naked in front of them and such.

I do think it was a very fair and balanced look at him. Likely because they had to protect themselves legally from a rich guy. They also show a photo of Harvey with Hillary. Which the movie refused to do. The movie never even mentioned his political connections at all it just mentioned the Fox News and Republican cases with party and company names yet when talking about the main case of the movie they fully ignored all of this stuff. Very weird. It was like he went from political elite to a guy who no one could now even mention as elite or former elite in such aspects. But the doc is not about this so I think it's fine it's avoided here. Frontline has a certain political bias, but maybe they could explore such connections in future docs anyhow to some degree.

Typical for PBS

This one-sided documentary barely scratches the surface of the creepy ugly underbelly of the movie industry. And it refuses to name the Democratic Party, but instead the throaty narrator explains with a throw-away generalization, "Weinstein was even involved in the political arena".

No one knows what will be the ultimate end of this story, so it is impossible to say how this incomplete film ends.

But, rest assured the film never develops that Democrats, including the female 2016 Presidential candidate, were at best grateful for his financial campaign contributions and star power endorsement. At worst, they were most likely complicit with his offensive, possibly criminal behavior and sociopathic retaliation against his mostly female accusers.

One wonders if the Democratic candidate won the 2016 presidential election, would this story have seen the light of day?
