This was a decent start to what hopefully is a new trend of more diverse and fresh comedies at CBS. The problem is that it is still not original enough. The show nailed every sitcom cliche you can imagine, so even if there were some laughs, you have to wonder how long it will last.

Damon Wayans Jr. needs to dial his act back a bit. I have a feeling it will grow tired very fast. His character worked best in ensembles, like Happy Endings.

The initial reviews for this show were pretty bad, but when I sat down and watched it I thought it was very funny and relatable. I think it helps if you know that the premise for the show came from Harry Styles moving in with Ben Winston and his wife. I keep picturing this popstar whirlwind entering a couple's happily settled domestic bliss and it makes me giggle since a lot this rings true to me as a thirty-something attempting to keep my hipper, cooler went-self alive.
