As someone who did not know much about Botero and his art before watching this film, I was impressed by how much of his background and history they were able to explore while also being able to tell a very compelling and cohesive story that is still relevant to the present.
This film is also beautifully shot and edited. They really knew how to bring out the bright colours and volume of Botero's art, and every still of a painting or sculpture felt purposeful, rather than simply dropped into the film to fill up time.
Whether you're a fan of Fernando Botero or not, this is definitely a documentary that you should see.
