Early in the film Little Shadow (Helena) sees her father hide a rifle beneath a shack next to there cabin. More than 20 years later the venue is clearly deteriorated from long time abandonment. Still Helana manages to dig the rifle up in good operating status. After 20 years in a humid environment it would likely be rusted and not operable.
When they are in the park, her daughter asks Helena to identify a leaf. Helena answers "walnut", but the leaf is not a walnut leaf.
