Dallas says "I didn't wheez your juice", a very 90s reference, reflecting Relaxer's 1999 setting, as "wheezing the juice" was said by Pauly Shore in the movie Encino Man (1992). It means to steal by drinking directly from the bottle, or the tap of a soda fountain/Icee machine.
Dallas says "whoop whoop!" as he leaves the apartment, indicating that he's a juggalo, a fan of the Michigan rap duo Insane Clown Posse. It's a reference to their song "Superballs". Dallas also enters carrying two bottles of Faygo, a soft drink favored among both ICP and Juggalos, although the film was produced and is set in Michigan, where Faygo is manufactured and is most popular, due to its low cost and variety of flavors.
Takes place in the same universe as another Potrykus film, The Alchemist Cookbook. The films are connected through Cortez, a character portrayed by Amari Cheatom in both.
Brothers Cam and Abbie are named after the biblical brothers Cain and Abel.
The film marks singer Adina Howard's feature film debut (in a fictional role), as her 2002 film "Casanova's Demise (2002)" was never released.
