- A clinically depressed housewife who must fight for her husband's and her life, after her secret love interest turns psychopathic.
- An aspiring, near-blind painter caught in a troubled marriage finds herself in a whirlwind affair; but, when her suitor's own troubled childhood boils to the surface, things take a turn for the worst and she'll have to fight for her marriage, or lose everything.
All Theresa wants to do is paint. Unfortunately, she's going blind, and it's only a matter of time before she can never see another canvas. To make matters worse, her husband Eric-though not a bad or abusive man-isn't supportive, and Theresa's condition and obsession wear on their marriage. One day, Theresa meets another man; his name is James, and he's a charming devil. He sweeps her off her feet, and before she knows it, they've engaged in an affair. He takes her to his workspace-a warehouse-which is filled with all manner of sketches and paintings. This blows Theresa away; finally, someone that understands her! She makes plans to leave her own husband and be with James instead. But, nothing is so simple, and as messy as the situation already is, it's about to get messier. Theresa doesn't know about James' childhood. His father was abusive; he screamed at and beat both James and his mother. And, James mother-not a saint herself-fell in love with James and seduced him as a boy into a sexual relationship. It all came to a tragic head when his father murdered his mother, and he murdered his father in retort. James never loved Theresa; as it turns out, she just looks strikingly similar to his own mother. He's been following Theresa for some time. Waiting. Plotting. Hoping... He wants his mother back and is certain that Theresa can offer him that much. And, he'll go to whatever lengths necessary to ensure his success.
