Excellent Interview
Willie Aames on 'Cut and Run' (2017)
**** (out of 4)
This forty-one minute interview with Willie Aames is about as fun as you're going to get and I'd argue that it's one of the best out there that you'll ever see. The main focus of the interview is his work on Ruggero Deodato's CUT AND RUN and boy do we get some terrific stories. Let's just say that the two men had several different altercations on the production and thankfully for us they did because we get some terrific stories. There's talk about the filming locations, the various dangers that they faced and of course there's talk about the issues the two men had with each other. You can't help but listen to some of these stories and just laugh because it must have been a real blast on the set. This takes up a little over half of the running time and then we get to some of his other projects as well as various other stunts he did to gain attention from the likes of Alfred Hitchcock and John Wayne. If you're a fan of Aames then you're going to love this featurette. If you're a fan of the cannibal horror genre then you'll enjoy it even more because it really does give you a great idea of what it was like filming in a real jungle.
