- Midge Maisel: What do you do for the summer?
- Susie Myerson: I stay here. And I sweat. And I smell like a bum. And I'm miserable and I wanna kill people. And I do that until it gets cold.
- Midge Maisel: What about picnic dresses, we each have four. Should I bring them all?
- Rose Weissman: There may be four picnics.
- Abe Weissman: Or you can wear the same picnic dress to more than one picnic.
- Rose Weissman: [Midge and Rose both laugh] Oh, Abe.
- Midge Maisel: Papa, you're too much.
- Midge Maisel: What's going on is not funny. We have to do something together to satisfy my mother's insatiable desire for us to meet before I tie her to a concrete post and throw her in the lake.
- Benjamin: [Leaning back in his chair, wide eyed smiling] Is she dead before you tie her to the post or do you tie her to the post alive and then dump her in like that?
- Midge Maisel: She's Alive.
- [Without skipping a beat because she is so annoyed]
- Benjamin: So screaming?
- Midge Maisel: Not with a gag in her mouth
- Benjamin: [Impressed] You've thought this through.
