what the actual fluff (spoilers)
tercza-brigitta9126 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Can I just say, that the plot thickens and thickens by every single episode? I was already blown away with the fact that there are others who are travelling through dimensions AND with different methods ('cause appaerantly there are more methods...because why the fluff not) but with Azekiel appearing as an octopus...I am blown away!

Best episode ever

Mesmerizing as a David Lynch movie. The plot is great, the actors are fantastic. Episode after episode The OA becomes more and more fascinating.

SYZYGY

Warning: Spoilers
They get us with yet another great cliffhanger, but it is more than that.

This show is beyond weird, but somehow an octopus taking control of Nina and telling her what to say makes sense in the world of The OA.

Another great episode.

One word: Phenomenal

This is as good as it gets folks. Brit Marling is one of a kind actress, she is unbelievably good at portraying her character, and I have to add, she looks like a great and kind person in general. This magnificent episode and the one before are the best in the series up to this point, so I have to say that the quality of this series is exceptionally rare. Every fan of surrealism movement is going to be very pleased with this one :)

Existential Crisis in the form of a TV show
GraXXoR29 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Just when you though you had it sussed, The OA throws another complete curveball.

This is like the old VR weird-out standard Existenz had a threesome love-child with The Fringe and Stranger Things...

This dimension continues on its trajectory, becoming less and less "convincing" as a "real" dimension as the inconsistencies mount... The oddball metaphysics/psychology hybrid subect matter: Quantum Psychoses... The mental/phsyical technology (dreams being the source of blockchain/bitcoin.) Apps linked to surreal cults. The outrageous methods a "hospital" uses to rehabilitate its patients...

And of course, the out of your f'kken mind night club with a sentient octopus strangling a restrained nightclub customer before somehow being killed with a single knife stroke to a single tentacle....

This dimension is becoming more and more unlikely (i.e. fringelike edge dimension) as time goes by.

Magnificent, outrageous, surreal... I have no idea how this is going to pan out, here on in!

But OH BOY, What a journey!

Astounding!!!!!

I do not usually write reviews on single episodes, but this one is really special, David Lynch, the octopus that is a clear reference a Thomas Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow, the atmosphere, the color, the tones, and so other many referencces that I would not quote here to avoid spoilers....this episode is absolutely brilliant!!!!!!

One path to a larger pond.

There are many ways of developing this script. I hope for an unexpected turn.

This is as good as it gets in 2018-2019.

Avoid Psyquiatry internship like that. Nothing to do with caracterizing the plot as excellent although we can see similitude with other works in the genre. If we go down that path there's but Plagiarism along humanity's history... Excellent work.

One of the best two series ever produced, intellectual property of the highest value, beauty, drama, creativity.

Isn't it the reason we make movies?

It was a high honor to watch it.

Congratulations to Cast and Crew, thank you for the dream opportunity.

A serious nine, emotional ten.

Confusing subplots

Warning: Spoilers
I think I'll lost in this episode whi is OA? Niw she meets Karim the detective who looking for a missing girl. She's now piecing together another identity that he represents a another life where she is a wealthy lady but still a prisoner of Hap. How she got there us another mystery of her hospital stay after having c a ught t he bullet in her chest at the school. Now she meets people who belong to her timeline if she had stayed eith her Russian father. Hap meets another time traveler at the spa who shares that there as re other methods to time travel. And he is intrigued by this new women. This episode does not flow as easily or smoothly as the others. I got to remember this is scify the octopus and night club is weird the octopus is an alien Who talks to humans through Nina/AO. She must admit her identity as an angel/interdimensional traveler to the people at t he club. Azeal tells her not to lie about her indentity. And kills her she then travels to another place this time a plane. But her body still at the club concludes her "performance". This is like a David Lynch film.

Both good and bad
garabedian12327 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
So thats it...they just killed that alien interdimensional octopus thing and no one says anything? How did he kill it anyways...all he did was cut off one tip of a tentacle. Octopus can live through that. And OA barely shrugs...Even though he seemed to have all the answers and is dead now....very weird...thats like finding out aliens exist and have been your mom and dad your whole life and in fact you are an alien too...and shrugs...ehh......i mean come one...what the???
