Truly inspiring! Brings back my childhood memories.
Your story is inspiring to us and a great documentary indeed. My mother (from Laguna) and father (from Cebu) also came from poor families but they worked so hard to ensure me and my siblings have a better future. Your story reminded me of my struggles growing up as well and what made me who and where I am now. Continue to inspire people Jhett!
An amazing story of rags to riches
This is a story that really touched me. It's incredible to see how a boy from a poor background overcame the odds to become a Broadway producer. Education really was the key. I hope that it inspires more young people to go for their dreams.

Heartwarming and inspirational yet heartbreaking!!
The beauty of this work is that it was raw, no cover-ups, and it came straight from the heart. I cheered with Jhett through his achievements and cried with him though the heartbreaking moments. There is a Filipino saying "Ang hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalinga, hindi makakarating sa Paroroonan" The literal translation of this saying is "He who does not know how to look back to the source, will not reach his destination". His determination, faith in God, gratefulness, simplicity made Jhett what he is today. Cheers !!

One in a million
"One in a million"
"Inspiring"
Those words I heard spoken in the film describe the documentary's rags-to-Broadway-riches tale (to date) so aptly. I watched transfixed, touched on many levels. A personal story, expressed with honesty, deep feeling, and pride, of his family, his community, and his treasured Iloilo/Filipino culture. A film of diverse content and imagery, entertaining throughout visually and audibly by Jhett's melodious articulation and calmly determined narration. A paean to boundless ambition and creativity. Overall, I thought it was an expert production of a remarkable autobiography. I look forward to future performances and projects undertaken by this clearly gifted young man.

A Testimony of Love, Hope & Victory
Jhett's inspiring story is a must-see especially for those that are in search of hope and strength to pursue their dreams. He is a distinct example of someone who went from nothing... to becoming an international multi-award winning success. And it all started with one curious thought he had. A thought that there has got to be something bigger than what his current life circumstances were. Him taking action to this curiosity and stepping out into the great unknown teaches us that if we simply shift our mindset to POSSIBILITIES, it can CHANGE our lives forever. Not only will you be inspired by Jhett's victorious journey, you will be inspired by his humility and his beautiful heart.

A poignant story of overcoming the odds
Jhett's fortuitous and challenge filled path from rural Iloilo, Philippines to glitzy Broadway will surely inspire anyone who watches it. A timely success story told in the era of politicized migration.
