Magic
I was just about to call Hercule Poirot for the case of the missing guest star. We only got a glimpse of David Suchet in episode one.
The proprietor of The Post, George Emmerson shows his shark's teeth to editor Duncan. He wants Duncan to apologise to the Prime Minister for humiliating him.
Back at The Herald, Amina shows why is so unsuited to be the editor of even a university student rag. After printing a public apology and then planning to resign. She changes her mind when other people find dirt on tycoon Joshua West.
Appalled by the leadership of Amina Chaudhry, Holly resigns and heads for The Post.
This really is woeful stuff. Viewing figures plummeted after the first episode and journalists have got tired listing all the inaccuracies.
The best bit of the episode was Holly having a chilly encounter with the slimy Joshua West. He makes clear of what he thinks of the little people and the contempt he holds for them. A clear indication of what some of the wealthy elites be it politicians, aristocrats, top business people, showbiz stars have for ordinary people. Something to ponder the next time you see some faux folksy speech from Boris Johnson, Jacob Rees-Mogg or Nigel Farage.
