'Home Away' was created in its entirety in just 48 hours for the Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Project, Holiday Edition by team Iron Relic headed by Bryan Forrest.
The entire film is comprised of just 4 shots.
The Director of Photography Aric Abraham camera operates the entire film even running through the battlefield and taking cover.
Nearly every member of the crew also appears on camera as both principle and background soldiers for the opening battle sequence and as a patient inside the medical tent as some point.
At it's premier screening at the 48 Hour Film Project: Los Angeles 2017 Holiday Edition festival 'Home Away' was nominated for the following categories: Best Use of Prop, Best Use of Character, Best Production Design, Best Costumes, Best Practical or Visual Effects, Best Sound Design, Best Music, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Actress:Jessica Erin Bennett, Best writing, Best Directing, and Best Film.
