The documentary includes many factual errors, jumps to conclusions about things like motive and thought processes that the evidence simply doesn't support and massively overstates the role of Stalin in the revolution, as well as his friendship with Lenin. It also completely ignores that Stalin had previously been dismissed by Lenin from the party due to his criminal tactics.

Unfortunately a great disappointment for the BBC. Lots of omissions, the film largely resumes the official history of the USSR. Not to mention the role of Germany and the sending of Lenin and others (the armored train) to Russia. As for the February revolution, there is nothing about the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II in favor of Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich, his brother, and his refusal. Then about the democratic rule of Kerensky ... I don't recommend this documentary.
