(Ocf. 2017) Bette Midler expressed her doubts over the beloved Halloween family movie reboot, telling PEOPLE she expects the TV movie to be "cheap."
While members of the original cast have previously expressed interest in taking part of the reboot, Bette Midler told People magazine she officially squashed any hope of a surprise appearance.
(Sept. 2017) According to Deadline, the TV movie, currently in the early stages of development, will be a "reimagining" of the original; David Kirschner, a producer from the original, will executive produce, but Scarlett Lacey (The Royals) will replace original screenwriters Neil Cuthbert and Mick Garris, and original director Kenny Ortega will be absent as well. The new project will include a new cast and new director.
