A very boring, unfunny mess.

It was hard for me to endure this awful comedy because it is such a monotonous film. Copy-pasted repetition, the same unchanging dreary location, plus the mediocre cast - especially the trio who keep screwing over Ivko: Bjelogrlic, Todorovic and Djuricko, none of whom show much talent for comedy here. Bjelogrlic redeemed himself somewhat in later ventures, but Srdjan and Nikola got into acting through their strong family ties, especially Srdjan whose father was a very well-known actor, and whose aunt was an actress married to one of Yugoslavia's most prominent political leaders. So what could we possibly expect from them? Bjelogrlic and Djuricko at least have faces suitable for the big screen, they have a certain degree of charisma, but the never-funny Todorovic is like a failed clone of his much better father.

On the other side of the acting coin, Anica Dobra and Dragan Nikolic are not bad. (They are generally very good, just not in this pitiful mess.) Danielle Steinfeld is very cute.

Zdravko Sotra getting paid yet again to shoot some bigger domestic film and/or TV series, undeservedly, it's nothing new. If you've ever wondered how such a mediocre director could have such a rich career, at least quantitatively, the answer is that he was always very close to whatever regime was in power at any given time. Party affiliations ruled YU cinema, just as they later (and now) ruled Serbian cinema. This is common knowledge though, I'm hardly inventing the wheel here...
