Back in 2017, legendary action star Jean-Claude Van Damme had the lead role in a film titled Kill ‘Em All, which saw him taking on the role of a mysterious stranger who arrives at a hospital on the brink of death – and yet still has to fight for his life when a gang raids the hospital with the intention of finishing him off. Seven years later, Kill ‘Em All is getting a sequel, appropriately titled Kill ‘Em All 2, which is set to receive a digital release next Tuesday, September 24th. In anticipation of that release, a trailer for Kill ‘Em All 2 has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.
The feature directorial debut of fight coordinator Peter Malota, who had previously worked with Van Damme on Double Impact, Universal Soldier, Nowhere to Run, The Quest, and The Order, Kill ‘Em All was scripted by Craig Stewart, Brian Smolensky,...

Reka is an experience that feels like a well-lived storybook. If you’ve spent your younger days reading tales of witchcraft, sorcery, and eerie forests, Reka is going to bond well with you. Its wondrous narrative sets itself apart from a genre that might feel saturated to many.
Even in early access, the game provides a rich landscape that draws inspiration from Slavic mythology. This is a place where exploration, magic, and creative freedom come together, building a sandbox experience that should be on your to-play list.

Final preparations are underway for the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympics on Wednesday.
It will take place one month after the tumultuous 2024 Olympics opening ceremony which divided spectators at home and internationally for its provocative take on French history and culture.
Like its predecessor, which unfolded on the River Seine on July 26, the Paralympics opening will break with tradition by taking place outside of a sports stadium and will also be overseen by Olympics opening and closing ceremonies artistic director Thomas Jolly.
The celebrated theatre director received death threats in the wake of the Olympics opening, following suggestions that a scene featuring drag queens was a parody of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper, which he denied.
At home, the ceremony was mainly applauded and it kicked off one of the most successful summer Olympics in more than a decade.

Deadpool & Wolverine, still showing in theaters worldwide and starring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, was one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Fans eagerly awaited this major on-screen team-up and were largely thrilled with the result.
Four weeks post-premiere, audiences are still uncovering and discussing the numerous Easter Eggs in the film, which continues to enjoy global success. The movie features several iconic Marvel characters in cameo roles, some cleverly hidden beneath various Deadpool masks, as the original Deadpool battles multiple alternate versions of himself in Paradox’s timeline.
One notable variant is Nicepool, the only human Deadpool version that does not wear a mask, allowing us to see the actor in costume. If you assumed Ryan Reynolds played Nicepool, prepare for a big surprise!

Spoilers for "Deadpool & Wolverine" follow.
"Deadpool & Wolverine" builds on the Disney+ series "Loki," incorporating multiversal watchdogs the Tva (Time Variance Authority) and sending its heroes into the Void, a wasteland where those from "pruned" timelines go for final disposal.
The ruler of the Void is Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin), mutant super-villainess and evil twin of Professor X, but she's only one half of the movie's big bads. The other is rogue Tva agent Mr. Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen), who wants to destroy Wade Wilson's (Ryan Reynolds) timeline because he can't be bothered with monitoring it.
Macfadyen plays Paradox like he did Tom Wambsgans on "Succession," though this time with his natural British accent. Paradox definitely seems like a chap who'd use a Tva agent or two as a human footstool. He's a soulless middle manager who smiles while crushing others, but in the end his ambition exceeds his competence,...

[This story contains spoilers for Deadpool & Wolverine.]
Unsurprisingly, much of the discussion surrounding Deadpool & Wolverine, both positive and negative, has focused on the so-called cameos in the film. Is it simply fan service? Do we care about seeing those characters again? Are they the purpose of the movie? Does it say anything about us as a culture? The answers will naturally vary and lead to a vast amount of discourse, much of it exhausting.
Deadpool & Wolverine is being used as a litmus test for various things, art, commercialism, consumerism, and the capability to have fun or not. None of those tests are particularly interesting, and I’d argue they are outside of the parameters of what Deadpool & Wolverine is actually about, which is: who decides which stories matter?
Do you remember the first Marvel movie you saw? Maybe it was Blade (1998), Spider-Man (2002), Iron Man (2008), The Avengers (2012), or any of the other numerous comic...

Wow, can you believe, true believers, that it’s been over eight months since our last multiplex trek into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)? Really! Sure, there have been a few Disney+ shows, and a Sony “Spidey spin-off”, but it’s nothing like sitting down with your popcorn for a real MCU journey. Aside from the long “lead time” this one is pretty unique as it takes a “side road’ to include the “Fox Marvel movie-verse”. You see before there was a Marvel Studios, the comics giant licensed several of their characters to the established movie studios. After years of legal entanglements, Sony got Spidey (and partnered with Marvel for the Tom Holland trilogy). But the main home for many Marvel stars was 20th Century Fox. They produced three Fantastic Four features, Daredevil and its spin-off Elektra, and the X-men franchise including The Wolverine solo flicks, and the New Mutants.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was internationally released, and I have to admit it’s a solid movie that does a good work of making fun of the current state of the MCU and the absurdity of the multiverse.
Over the course of the movie, we’ve seen Deadpool move through several “realities” including the Void but he eventually ends up right back where he started, and it’s not the MCU. This is why many fans are currently wondering, wait, what is Deadpool’s current reality?
If you want to avoid spoilers – I suggest you stop reading right away!

Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters July 26, but the review embargo for the film broke on Tuesday, and the early reaction from critics has been largely positive.
The third Deadpool movie, and first to be included in the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe, stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as the titular characters and is directed by Shawn Levy. The cast also includes The Crown‘s Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova and Succession‘s Matthew Macfadyen as Tva (Time Variance Authority) agent Mr. Paradox.
As of Tuesday evening, the review aggregator sites had wildly divergent scores for Deadpool 3. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film’s score clocked in at 80 percent from 140 reviews, while over at Metacritic, the score was a more muted 54 percent from 45 reviews.

Marvel Studio’s new Deadpool & Wolverine movie is chock full of cameos and juicy details. It’s hardly unexpected, but as someone who went in only knowing about one cameo, I want you to have the same experience I did. I’m going to keep the spoilers to an absolute minimum outside of what you’ve likely seen in the trailers so you can enjoy it fresh. Do yourself a favor and stay off social media because I guarantee cameo names are going to be trending topics as soon as this film is released, and they are just too good to be spoiled.

In their third collaboration, director Shawn Levy was never going to be the one to rein in Ryan Reynolds’ taste for quippy zingers and winking meta gags that regularly demolish the fourth wall, especially when the star gets the lead screenplay credit. If you thought Deadpool or Deadpool 2 were heavy on in-jokes, then buckle up, because that shtick is dialed up to radioactive levels in Deadpool & Wolverine. That of course will be welcome news for the franchise’s most ardent admirers, particularly those who look back fondly on Marvel’s Fox era.
Reynolds’ wisecracking mercenary Wade Wilson is at a low point on his timeline, no longer considered relationship material by the love of his life, Vanessa (Morena Baccarin, barely present), and only somewhat buoyed by the affection of his loyal group of friends, a ragtag assortment returning from the first and second films. All he really wants is to matter.

From the very first scene, Wade Wilson is squatting in the grave of Wolverine and the X-Men cinematic universe he helped build. This is not a metaphor. The film literally opens with Ryan Reynolds’ crimson-clad dynamo six feet deep in the hole Hugh Jackman’s superhero was buried beneath at the end of Logan, desperate to resurrect the past—or at least exhume the corpse of it for a gag.
It is not a metaphor, and yet it happily invites one all the same while watching Deadpool & Wolverine, the third fourth-wall-knocking laugher starring Reynolds and an endless barrage of dick jokes. Often funny ones too. Marketed as a long-overdue buddy comedy about the most popular (and lucrative) characters in Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s respective oeuvres, Deadpool & Wolverine is indeed quite giggle-inducing when it slouches back into the iconography of its leads and watches what happens when you...

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is currently the most anticipated MCU project, it’s the only MCU movie releasing this year, and for a good reason. The studio wants to restore some of the faith that fans used to have in the franchise and set up something huge with Deadpool.
We know that the movie will have a massive number of cameos and variants, more than 20 at this point have been either rumored or confirmed. While the actors rumored to appear in the movie are mostly playing coy and avoiding answering the questions, Chris Hemsworth had a hilarious reaction.
During this year’s CinemaCon exclusive ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ footage was shown, near the end of the footage Thor can be seen crying over Deadpool’s dead body and Matthew McFadden’s Mr. Paradox tells him, “That happens in the distant future.”

Deadpool & Wolverine is shaping up to be one of the biggest Marvel movies ever and a new batch of stills (which appear to have originated from Empire) have today hit social media.
In them, we see more of Wade Wilson's birthday party, a battle in the snow, the Merc with the Mouth exploring - and possibly fighting in - the Tva, a new shot of the anti-hero and Logan, and Cassandra Nova in all her intimidating glory.
There's also a great behind-the-scenes photo of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman suited up alongside director Shawn Levy.
The biggest reveal, however, comes our way in that shot of Deadpool and Mr. Paradox. Behind him, we see the Sacred Timeline branching uncontrollably, just like it did at the end of Loki season 1. However, at the end of season 2, it had taken on the shape of the tree-like Yggdrasil, suggesting Deadpool & Wolverine takes place before that.

The casting of The Crown’s Emma Corrin in Deadpool & Wolverine’s in a lead role has led to plenty of speculation as to whether they’re playing the film’s villain. Although some thought she’d be playing a variant version of Deadpool to give a twist on Lady Deadpool, others were adamant she’d bring Cassandra Nova to the party. Now, it looks like the latter has been confirmed.
As seen on the US Copyright Office site, Corrin’s character is listed as “Cassandra Nova,” seemingly confirming they’ll be playing the villainous twin sister of Charles Xavier. Introduced in 2001’s New X-Men #114, Cassandra Nova has similar telekinetic and telepathic powers to Charles Xavier. But instead of using them for good, she tried to eradicate the so-called “mutant menace” by dispatching an army of Sentinel robots to the mutant island of Genosha, massacring millions of mutants in the process.

This post contains spoilers for "Loki" season 2.
"Deadpool 3" — or rather, "Deadpool & Wolverine" — dropped its first trailer during Super Bowl Lviii and confirmed that Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) will be journeying deep into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Specifically, on the ground first tread by the Disney+ series "Loki," which wrapped its second season last year.
When Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox went through, the expectation (at least for most folks) was that the old "X-Men" films would be wiped away in a blank slate reboot. However, the MCU has since been pulling from those previously unconnected X-movies; clearly, Marvel Studios would prefer to bank on audience familiarity with Fox's X-Men. Patrick Stewart showed up in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" as Professor X and Kelsey Grammer cameoed as Beast in the post-credit scene of "The Marvels." Whether or not these were the original characters or unique...

The Cloverfield franchise may have been dormant for the past few years, but like the titular creature, it will rise again when you least expect it. That’s the fun of this sci-fi horror franchise, which first made its name as a viral hit in 2008 before expanding into a larger universe of stories involving aliens and alternate dimensions. You never know when a new installment might drop.
Such is the case with Cloverfield 4, which, as is tradition in this series, is shrouded in mystery. What we know for sure is that it’s being penned by British screenwriter Joe Barton and will be directed by Babak Anvari (Under the Shadow). Unlike the other sequels, 10 Cloverfield Lane and The Cloverfield Paradox, which began life as completely unrelated standalone scripts before being rewritten and integrated into the Cloverfield franchise, Cloverfield 4 is being developed specifically for the franchise.

Over the last couple decades, director Mike Hurst has brought us several genre films – House of the Dead 2, Room 6, The Darkroom, Pumpkinhead 4: Blood Feud, Paradox – and his latest is a self-financed labor of love he has been working on for the last four years. It’s called Transmission, and it has been officially accepted into the Pigeon Shrine FrightFest festival that’s set to be held in London from August 24th through 28th. In anticipation of Transmission‘s FrightFest screening, we’ve gotten our hands on the trailer for the film, and you can check it out in the embed above!
Here’s how Hurst described the film: “Basically the whole movie takes place on a TV screen as we channel-surf late at night, slowly realizing that the different stories on the different channels are actually all connected, all parts of the same horrific story…” As the viewer flips through the channels,...

Kim Fupz Aakeson, writer of Liam Neeson feature Cold Pursuit, has created a quirky Norwegian comedy for HBO Europe. The premium broadcaster has commissioned eight-part series Utmark/Wilderness, which will be directed by Dagur Kári, director of Paul Dano’s The Good Heart.
Aakeson is also behind AMC’s David Schwimmer drama Feed The Beast, which was based on his Danish series Bankerot. It is produced by Finn Gjerdrum and Stein Kvae at Paradox.
Utmark/Wilderness is a quirky comedy drama set in a small Norwegian town a little north of the middle of nowhere. A sheep lies savaged. A dog runs free. A wife leaves her husband. So begins a chain of revenge that entangles a whole town. Corrupt sheriff, alcoholic shepherd, nature-loving bootlegger, God-hating pastor, grieving pimp…everyone knows everyone in this secluded corner of the Nordic North. Now an optimistic new school teacher rolls in, hopeful for a fresh start.

I have fond memories of playing 2004's Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines and nearly 15 years later, Paradox is bringing the franchise back from the undead with Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. I've been eager to get a better look at the game after the initial announcement trailer and we now have a 4-minute gameplay trailer that gets me excited for a return to the "World of Darkness" next year.
Set in Seattle, where the blood trade is booming and vampires are dueling (in between eating human snacks), Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is slated for a release in early 2020 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
"Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be shipping on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
You can pre-order on PC right now: https://pdxint.at/2F9pshh
(Pre-order will come a bit later on console).
Sired in an act of vampire insurrection, your existence ignites the war for Seattle's blood trade.

After Louis Koo, Hong Kong A-list actor and producer, presented Anthony Wong with the best actor award at this year’s Hong Kong Film Awards, he smiled awkwardly as Wong referred to him in his acceptance speech as “movie mogul of the new generation.” But as Wong continued to sing Koo’s praises, the handsome actor jumped in, telling Wong to stop talking about him.
In public, Koo maintains the image of a star, appearing in blockbusters such as action-thriller “Paradox,” which won him best actor awards at both Hong Kong Film Awards and Asian Film Awards last year. His pretty face is often attached to commercial and lifestyle products as their brand ambassadors.
But behind the scenes, the 48-year-old has quietly assumed a role as one the key driving forces behind Hong Kong cinema. One Cool Film Production, which he founded in 2013, has produced a slate of commercial hits...
