No other French director released more movies than Mocky :at the furious rate of two or three movies a year .That is not to say that he did not make an interesting effort now and then ; but many of them suffered from his lack of craft or the focus to develop his ideas .....

The positive : -The former mayor ,consumed with remorse, confessing he had been a fraud during his mandate.,
-The spoof on the twinning, which is the rigueur in many French towns ; it's Germany this time with the coming of a burgmeister so fat that he got stuck in the bus door .
-The sexton ,recording all the confessions in the church and suggesting a candidate he threaten all the electors if they do not vote for him;and his mom , going to the market and blackmailing the customers .
-the "accident" during the hunting party
The negative : The majorette's skirt, a la Marylin Monroe' "subway dress" ,which gives the candidate obsessions (he saw her buttocks on anybody's face ): not a good gag ,and in the long run , annoying.
All that concerns the gay candidate is not funny ,it's even offensive .
