- Dominick Carisi Jr.: [chasing a group of rape suspects] Hey! Where do you think you're going, huh?
- Odafin Tutuola: Pro tip: next time, run in different directions.
- Dominick Carisi Jr.: Ms Hall? Detectives Carisis and Tutohola, we're with Special Victims Units. Mind if we come in?
- Dorothy Hall: Special? What you'd mean special?
- Odafin Tutuola: 'Cause of our looks!
- Olivia Benson: The victim is sixteen?
- Amanda Rollins: Yeah.
- Olivia Benson: Uh, you call the mother?
- Amanda Rollins: Well, the mother is in Bedford Hills Correctional. There's no father in the picture. Her older brother, Malik, is her legal guardian.
- Olivia Benson: Okay, and Malik is the one who reported the rape?
- Amanda Rollins: Yeah, so he and his friend, Jerome, were apparently trying to call for help, and the bodega owner thought it was a robbery.
- Olivia Benson: So much for community relations.
- Odafin Tutuola: What were you and Tiana doing at the playground?
- Malik Williams: Well, Tiana came home. She said she had a good grade on her biology test. So I went to the store, bought some vodka to celebrate.
- Odafin Tutuola: Vodka? She's sixteen.
- Malik Williams: Well, it's not a regular thing, you see... Tiana's smart, and she's... and she's our ticket out of the hood, so I wanted to do something special for her. So we went to the playground and just hung out.
- Odafin Tutuola: Okay, what happened then?
- Malik Williams: These guys, six dudes, they pulled up, man.
- Odafin Tutuola: White? Black? Latino? How old?
- Malik Williams: Black, young. I don't know, my age? But one of them threatened me.
- Odafin Tutuola: Threatened you how?
- Malik Williams: One of them lifted they shirt up, showed a gun in they waistband. Said I had to leave, and Tiana had to stay.
- Odafin Tutuola: And you just left her there?
- Malik Williams: Well, they said they were gonna shoot me otherwise. I had no choice.
- Odafin Tutuola: Sure, you had a choice. You take a bullet. You don't leave your little sister alone.
- Dr. Diana Davis: I just examined Tiana Williams.
- Olivia Benson: How is she?
- Dr. Diana Davis: Scrapes, bruising on her knees, palms, gential trauma on the rape kit. Semen in her throat and underwear.
- Olivia Benson: Okay, well let's get that to the lab, and see if we can get lucky enough to get a DNA hit.
- Amanda Rollins: She was pretty out of it when we found her. What came up on the tox screen?
- Dr. Diana Davis: Traces of heroin, and her blood alcohol was .19.
- Amanda Rollins: A sixteen year old girl, alone in the middle of the night, in that kind of shape.
- Dr. Diana Davis: You don't wanna know how many times we see that in here.
- Odafin Tutuola: Lee.
- Lee Green: I thought your boys don't drink on the job anymore.
- Dominick Carisi Jr.: We're not thirsty.
- Odafin Tutuola: We need the footage from your security cams, last night, around 2 a.m.
- Lee Green: Or what?
- Odafin Tutuola: Seriously?
- Dominick Carisi Jr.: [sarcastic] They really know you around here, huh?
- Odafin Tutuola: Man, get your ass up and go get me that footage! Stop playing with me.
- Lee Green: [standing up] I was just making a little joke.
- Odafin Tutuola: Don't quit your day job.
- Dorothy Hall: I've called a lawyer, Ron Carter.
- [Carter enters behind them]
- Dorothy Hall: There he is.
- Odafin Tutuola: I heard of him. He's a legend.
- Olivia Benson: Oh, yeah, he worked for the good guys at the hate crime unit. And now he's every prosecutor's nightmare.
- Odafin Tutuola: Let's hope Carisi has a rabbit's foot somewhere.
- Olivia Benson: So Tiana was passed out cold?
- Odafin Tutuola: Rollins took her to the ER.
- Olivia Benson: And Malik?
- Odafin Tutuola: He's being processed. Child endangerment, possession, and promoting prostitution.
- Olivia Benson: He ask for a lawyer?
- Odafin Tutuola: Nope. It's not like he's gonna confess to trafficking his own sister.
- Olivia Benson: No, that is gonna have to come from Tiana herself.
- Odafin Tutuola: I doubt if that happens, either.
- Odafin Tutuola: Bobby drove Tiana to all her appointments. He also kept his eyes on the road when she had to handle business in the back seat. He has names, dates, and cash amounts.
- Olivia Benson: On an Excel spreadsheet?
- Odafin Tutuola: [handing her a file] No. Pencil and paper. He kept a written record so he could keep track of his cut.
- Olivia Benson: Did you really just get this lucky?
- Odafin Tutuola: Luck favors the prepared. I called in a favor in Narcotics.
- Olivia Benson: This bust is legit.
- Odafin Tutuola: Absolutely.
- Olivia Benson: Okay, I'll call Stone. You really want to get Malik.
- Odafin Tutuola: He's the worst kind of predator. He betrays his own. I mean, his sister really loves him, and he's throwing her away.
- Amanda Rollins: What happened to Tiana?
- Rachel Ortiz: Heroin overdose.
- Dominick Carisi Jr.: Where was she found?
- Rachel Ortiz: In her apartment. Neighbors called 911.
- Amanda Rollins: She gonna make it?
- Rachel Ortiz: EMTs said they're not sure. It's their tenth OD tonight.
- Olivia Benson: Malik trafficked his mother, too?
- Odafin Tutuola: And they're both blaming it on Tiana.
- Olivia Benson: Man, that family had it rough.
- Odafin Tutuola: Same as everyone that grows up in the projects. Some will make it out, some won't. But we all make our own choices.
- Olivia Benson: You don't talk about your childhood much.
- Odafin Tutuola: Back at you, lieu.
