Slow Motion: Walter Hill on Sam Peckinpah (2013)
*** (out of 4)
This six-minute feature has director Walter Hill paying tribute to Sam Peckinpah. Of course, the two worked together on THE GETAWAY and Hill tells some great stories about the legendary director. The highlight has to be Peckinpah's reaction to THE LONG RIDERS, which obviously was a homage to him and his use of slow motion. If you're a fan of either director then you'll certainly enjoy what this has to offer. Hill tells some very good stories about Peckinpah and it's always fun getting to hear director's talk about their influences.
