I am glad we have The Jim Jefferies Show back on our TVs ready to mock the latest in political news. The story about the lack of guns in the UK was a relevant issue and they did a good job getting their point across, but I still do not think it is a comparable situation. If cops suddenly disarmed in America a lot of people would die, good and bad. Cops with guns neutralize and prevent bad situations.

The UK comparison is simply silly. NYC has 42 TIMES the gun ownership rate of London and a lower murder rate.
The UK also has about nine times the surveillance, per capita, that the US has.
Also Norway has way more firearms per capita and half the murder rate of the UK. so by Jim's logic this means UK's gun ban is the reason the UK has twice the murder rate of Norway? Or would we argue Norway has armed police and the UK generally does not, and the lack of armed police in the UK is why the UK has double the murder rate of Norway?
