Back then it was a huge radio show that found an audience. Now that Mike Greenberg is out of it, MIke Golic is now with Trey Wingo for four hours of sports talk and whatever they can stuff the show into. It's not as good as other shows but it's still thriving and leads into the afternoon talk shows that usually dominated the ratings.

Wingo isn't very entertaining. I missed the witty commentary Greeny brought to the show and in his absence, Golic just doesn't shine as bright. With it moving to ESPNews in April, it's the beginning of the slip into retirement.

The chemistry is just not there. Wingo thinks he's clever and funny...he's not... he
is simply tedious, always seeming to want the last word, or summarizing the obvious, all the while thinking himself clever. He's not, he is downright annoying.
The younger son is tolerable and has interesting points to make, now and then.
Mike Golic is pretty much the same, but hamstrung by the horrible chemistry.
I stopped recording it, and no longer can bear to watch the show.

Mike Golic you really have to stop touching your nose, it doesn't make for good viewing. Also, quit calling your crew idiots, not cool. Other than these negatives I like the show. I tried watching Get Up! but no thank you. It really isn't good in my opinion.

Golic Sr. has a too high opinion of himself. I hate it when he insults the staff. Wingo is just plain annoying...repeating himself like Dora the Explorer. Golic Jr. has no business on ESPN. His take simply isn't insightful or entertaining. I keep trying but find myself being more annoyed than entertained like the old days of Mike & Mike.

This was a big adjustment for me. I loved Mike and Mike and had watched and listened for years. When G&W first aired, everything seemed forced and visually it bothered me. Mike was sitting on the wrong side, the studio was downsized, the banter was forced, and I found myself not listening to the sports news. Now, I find that the two of them have figured it out and I am finally enjoying the show again. I switched over to First Things First (which is a great show and I am happy to have them broadcasting in the afternoon in my area). I did try watching Get Up and it's just too disjointed for me. I'm not that "UP" in the a.m. and I found most of the segments just silly - trying to be too trendy (or something). Felt bad about not liking it as I really enjoy Greenie but just not with the new crew.
As far as the TV version goes...

I think if they had a better set, I would have enjoyed it more. It just looked cheap with that paper printed studio they had. I didn't enjoy watching it at all. Then when ESPN just played their voices and had some bouncing logo on the screen, I literally got sick watching it.

Mike Golic Sr. still has it... somewhat.
Mike Golic Jr. is another wannabe. He is not photogenic on TV, always with a sneer or semi-snarl on his face. Tries to be soooo knowledgeable but is fail.
Trey Wingo tries to schmooze everything and his incessant banter is distracting.
The new guy the musician, what's his name? Doesn't fit at all. Needs to give it up.
This meager substitute for Mike & Mike is a fail and won't last long IMHO. Maybe another six months to a year and then kaput.

They are trying too hard to be like the Dan Lebetard show with Stugotz and literally stealing their bits. I put on Golic & Wingo some mornings after a big sports night I missed and find myself turning it off and searching whatever I missed on YouTube instead because these guys are unbearable. I wish they were better and I want them to be better but everything about the show is depressing. They are failing and I feel bad for them way more than I'm entertained. Ever see when they do the show from another location and have a crowd sitting behind them? It's THE MOST depressing thing ever. Old white people sadly staring into space at 6am lmao whoever came up with that idea should be fired. Immediately.

Loved M&M for 18 yrs, had to listen each morning or my day didn't start out quit right. I really miss it. And mainly, b/c Trey thinks he's hilarious but he's not at all - just sarcastic and cheesy. I like Golic and Junior, and I think Fitz should be the host. It's easy to tell Wingo is from Greenwich CT, based on how condescending he is.
Old Yeller Wingo must go.

Please please replace the non funny
Yelling Wingo! Not entertaining and tries to be funny by yelling. Like the drunk guy at the bar no one sits near who thinks he's funny. Show is so much better with Fritz.. please send Wingo back to the NFL draft where he can yell every 10 minutes.
