High Potential is written by Drew Goddard, who serves as an executive producer with Sarah Esberg for Goddard Textiles.

Hollywood’s historic season of strikes decimated filming in Los Angeles, with the region recording close to the lowest production levels on record.
The decline marks the fourth consecutive quarterly shooting drop, capping off a year in which filming was blocked for over four months. Filming for TV shows, long a mainstay in Los Angeles, saw the steepest dip.
The report from FilmLA reflects the last quarter that accounts for the strikes. The agency said that the three-month period from October to December saw 5,520 shoot days, which represents a roughly 36 percent decline from the same quarter last year. The work stoppages from the WGA and SAG-AFTRA concluded on Sept. 27 and Nov. 9 respectively.
FilmLA noted that the resolution of the strikes “came too late for production to pick up by year’s end,” though runaway production is also a factor. On-location filming in Los Angeles has been continuously declining since 2021 as...

‘Friends’ Was the No. 4 Most-Streamed Title of the Week Following Matthew Perry’s Death, Per Nielsen
“Friends” shot way up on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings after Matthew Perry, who starred in the show as Chandler Bing, died unexpectedly on Oct. 28.
The NBC sitcom was the fourth-most-streamed title of the week with 860 million minutes watched between Oct. 30 and Nov. 5. That’s a 48% increase from previous viewing period, which ended one day after Perry’s death. Nielsen also reports that two-thirds of “Friends” viewers during this period were under the age of 35 — meaning they had not been born when the show premiered in 1994.
The No. 1 title of the week was “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” which was viewed for 1.1 billion minutes in its first six days of availability on Netflix. (The film premiered in theaters on June 2.) The film dethroned last week’s winer, the Jennifer Lawrence-led “No Hard Feelings,” which dropped off of the overall Top 10 completely, but was the fifth-most-streamed movie of the week with 388 million minutes watched,...

Plenty of haunted, Halloween and holiday options will crop up on Netflix in the month of October. The harvest doesn’t seem too lean despite the almost five-month writers strike that viewers are sure to feel next year, but at least the WGA and AMPTP have reached a deal, and hopefully, SAG-AFTRA is not too far behind. Luckily, Halloween and fall have a classic canon of films and TV shows that stretches back decades, and some of those staple watches will be available through Netflix throughout the month.
Movies include “Casper,” “Scarface” and the first two “The Amazing Spider-Man” films. There are a few standout new releases on Netflix in October, but it’s a rather quiet month on the world’s most popular streaming service otherwise!
Highlights this month include a brand-new series from Spook Master Mike Flanagan. The Fall of the House of Usher is a gothic tale loosely based on the short story of the same name by Edgar Allan Poe, and tells the story of two extremely unpleasant siblings whose family dynasty ends up going to hell in a handbasket. Before you ask: yes, Rahul Kohli is in it. That’s all that a lot of people need to know here (we’re people).
Elsewhere, Netflix is dropping a few interesting-looking docuseries, including one on football legend David Beckham. It promises to be an “intimate portrait” of Beckham, and the filmmakers were apparently granted unprecedented access to the sportsman and his family while making it.

Get ready for a romance roller coaster. It's a night of broken hearts and relationship drama on Ghosts Season 2 Episode 12.
Between Freddie's breakup over water and Sasappis's cheating fears, Woodstone Manor has recently had its fair share of dating disasters. And that's not even including Bela's rom-com revival on Ghosts Season 2 Episode 10.
At least we still have Sam and Jay to balance out the strong couples.
"The Family Business" kept the flow going where we left things off on Ghosts Season 2 Episode 11. Everything from the plot to the characters felt like a natural next step right after Freddie got hired.
The pacing didn't feel disjointed or standalone, as if we were jumping into an episode sometime later.
And there were plenty of callbacks to develop characters and explore potential plots. Like Sasappis's crush on Jessica or the surprising hookup between Hetty and Trevor. (They finally talked about it!)
It's nice...

Amazon Studios has unveiled the first stills from its holiday romantic comedy Something from Tiffany’s, starring Zoey Deutch (Not Okay) and Kendrick Sampson (Insecure), which is poised to launch globally on Prime Video on December 9th.
The Amazon Original, based on Melissa Hill’s novel of the same name, watches as a woman’s life is upended, when an engagement ring meant for someone else leads her to the person she’s meant to be with.
Nothing compares to the magic and excitement of the holidays in New York City, where the streets blaze with lights, windows dazzle, and a special box from Tiffany could change the course of a person’s life. Or several lives. Rachel and Gary (Deutch and Ray Nicholson) are happy enough, but not quite ready for that big commitment. Ethan and Vanessa (Sampson and Shay Mitchell), the perfect picture, are just about to make it official.

Ash and Bone is directed by Harley Wallen, written by Bret Miller and stars Jamie Bernadette (I Spit on Your Grave: Deja vu), Angelina Danielle Cama (An Intrusion), Harley Wallen (Tale of Tails), Kaiti Wallen (Agramon’s Gate), Erika Hoveland (Before I Wake), Jimmy Doom (Kill the Irishman) and Mel Novak (Bruce Lee’s Game of Death).
Wallen who also made the supernatural thriller Agramon’s Gate in honor of those style films that inspired him such as The Exorcist and Poltergeist etc, now gives a nod towards another era and style of horror films with Ash and Bone leaning towards the early 2000’s such as Wrong Turn, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and House of Wax.
With a celebrity stacked guest list, it’s easy to see why so much of Hollywood has set their sights on Wallen as a filmmaker as he keeps turning out hit films. The event will...

Once brushed aside – even deemed criminal – graffiti has since paved the way for many successful, credible artists today. With Duality, these street artists – some for the first time, some maintaining a strict code of anonymity – discuss their journeys from “tagging” to becoming respected icons in the cities they serve with pieces that are awe-inspiring in scope, size and complexity. They have collectively proven that their genre of art is something that can influence culture, evoke emotion, inspire, and cultivate community. Their rise has not been without challenges and criticism, but today they are admired by throngs of fans and oftentimes the art they produce brings in revenue for household brands and worldwide corporations. No longer relegated to back alleys, their works...

Imani has a new look on Y&R. Pic credit CBS
What happened to Imani on The Young and the Restless? That’s a question being asked after a new actress has taken over the role of Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) sister.
Leigh-Ann Rose originated the role of Imani in December 2019 when Amanda finally found her biological mother, Naya (Ptosha Storey).
The talented actress has been heating things up as Imani sets her sights on Nate (Sean Dominic), who’s dating Elena (Brytni Sarpy).
Since Imani has been making waves in Genoa City and the writers are clearly in the midst of a love triangle, it was a bit odd to see a new actress in the role.
There’s good news, though, for Imani fans.
Leigh-Ann isn’t gone for good.
