Okay parody, not good enough as a film on its own

"'Weird Al' Yankovic: White & Nerdy" gives you the title of the performer from this music video and the title of the song and reading this will maybe make it obvious already that this is a parody of the famous song "Ridin' Dirty" and people have called Yankovic the King of Parody. I don't know if I would agree with that judging from the quality here, but it makes sense now that he was the man in charge in front of as well as behind the camera. And he does look pretty young here for almost 50 I must say. The make-up crew really did a good job. Seth Green is in it too and so are Key and Peele and they (especially Peele) certainly were not as known as they are now after "Get Out" when this one here came out back in 2006, so almost 16 years ago, maybe more already depending on when you read this review. It is very short by the way at under three minutes. But that's okay as the joke, even if it is catchy, only works for so long. Overall, had this been a 100% creative achievement, I'd certainly be given more than 4 out of 10 or 2 out of 5, but lets be honest here: almost all the charm you get from checking this one out comes from the original and how catchy it is. I also don't think the video side here makes a big impact except some familiar faces you see maybe, so listening to the record is enough. Or just go for the original. I give White & Nerdy a thumbs-down as a whole. Not recommended.
