No direction and vision, episodic humour, lack of consistency
This sequel to Arthur Benzaken's film (The New Adventures of Aladdin, 2015) is a dud. It lacks visual scope. Here, the staging is designed for the tablet or the iPhone, not for the cinema. The shots are closer together, and the characters are less well thought out in the frame. This film is more reminiscent of sequences from TV shows or short films for Internet video clips.

The screenplay (still credited to Daive Cohen) manipulates fewer characters than the first in the series, and seems constructed solely as a pretext for Jamel Debbouze's performances. Jamel Bebbouze is far too present, and his character unbalances the film: Aladin has become a secondary character, even an extra. Jamel Debbouze puts on a show, which is all very well, but it doesn't serve the film. Moreover, each sequence taken individually is sympathetic, even effective on a comic level, but taken together they don't give the whole a coherent approach, a feeling of togetherness. For example, the space/time travel gag, in which they come across Christopher Columbus, is a good idea, but of no interest to the film as a whole. There are a lot of good individual ideas, but there's no overall artistic direction.

The imposition of antiquities on the modern world. Good special effects and a lot of humor.

Dialogue written by a 5 year old

Easiest one star rating.

You can hardly blame very low budget movies to be a total disaster, but what's the excuse here?

Dialogue was getting worse by the minute. That's the only accomplishment.

Not the best, but still a funny one

I don't really love french movies, but they are quite good in comedy flix like bollywood is good in romance, either you like it or you don't.

When a movie can get me to laugh almost every 2 minutes, either because it's a great joke or it's too stupid to not laugh at, I consider it a WIN if it is tagged as a comedy.

Those who do not master the language of Moliere may not get everything though.

Loved it more than 1st one ... go watch and make your own opinion !

cheers!

Don't waste your time with this 'comedy'. "Puns" aren't funny at all. Move along

Silly, but delightful

I had seen some very bad reviews, but I'm glad my French grand-daughters insisted on going to see this movie. We had lots of good laughs and the actors did a good job. I enjoyed the puns, and the scenes with cameos such as Gérard Depardieu as Christopher Columbus when the genie got his wires crossed. Un moment de pure détente !

OMG

How can someone be that arrogant and give this movie 10*, when one Godfather has 9*? You know it's high probability that actors of this pile of s**t gave it those ratings. This is probably the worst movie ever made.

Warning: Spoilers
The film is entitled Alad2. The film was released on cinema on October 3nd 2018 . The main roles are played by Kev Adams,Jamel Debouze,Vanessa Guide, Eric Judor and Ramzy Bédia. It is a Comédy. It takes place in Bagdad (Irak). The director of the film is Lionel Stekete. The main actor lost his wife so he decided to fly for first time in his life to join her because she was about to marry another man. My opinion on the film. Loved it because it me laugh a lot.The scène that struck me the most is when Kev Adams intervenesz at the wedding of Jamel Debouze and Vanessa Guide. Sky Kev Adams declares his passion in front o fall guests .Vanessa Guide much touched by the declaration of Kev Adams.Vanessa Guide realizes that she is ion love with Kev Adams. So Kev Adams and Vanessa Guide get married. I recommed this film because Ifind it awesome there islove of happiness

It's funny, it's silly, main actors gave thier best and succeded. I find it strange that many people rated it so low. I hope it was not because it lacks crappy fart-jokes and idiotic vulgarity.
